What's Next & Patreon Changes
🕑 Added 2024-04-30 20:04:05 +0000 UTCHey there! As you might have seen, my Cold Embrace comic is finished for now, thanks to your support! ^^ After working on it for two years and multiple style changes, I can finally call it done for the time being!
Now you might be wondering what that means for the future and what I will be using Patreon for.
Moving forwards, I will continue to use Patreon as a platform to support future long-term projects such as more comics, animations and more! As excited as I am to move onto new and different projects, I also need to temporarily take a step back from projects like those for a few reasons.
First and foremost, as much as I enjoyed working on Cold Embrace, it was a major stress point in my life since it was my first comic I had ever made, and I wasn't properly prepared for such a large project in all honesty. In the future, I will properly lay out all the pages, have a long script/storyboard, and practice more on general comic layout and flow before starting another.
Secondly, I picked up a college art course around February of last year, and I've been trying to finish that up in order to iron out my art fundamentals, and to learn new art skills! With this, however, my time for long projects has become a lot more limited- but I only have a few more terms left of my school program, so I should be done in a few months!
Last and certainly least, I will be moving states in August/Sept. I've been living at home in a pretty stressful environment for a long time now, which makes working on art like this very difficult at times. But I will be moving far away from here in a couple of months, which means I will have a lot more privacy and time necessary to work on big projects like Cold Embrace. With this, however, moving has become my number one priority, taking precedence over most other priorities in my life and I am working hard to make sure things work out once August rolls around.
What this means is that I will not be taking on any long-term projects till I at least ensure everything is good to go for the move, now this does not mean I will not be working on art or other smaller projects in the meantime, quite the contrary! I've overhauled all the current Patreon benefits to better suit future project support and to allow you all some opportunities to become more involved. Some of the overhauled and new tiers include occasional illustrated pictures, cameos for future projects and voting on future projects and direction!
A lot of these features are exclusive to my Discord server and patron channels over there, simply due to the versatility and ease that Discord provides. If you have not joined there, I would highly encourage you to do so as that has also recently received a large overhaul. https://discord.gg/PxJHYQ8yJN
I am so excited to be working with you all more on future projects and to be more involved in turn with you guys! Thank you, yes you the person reading this, for allowing me to continue making cool art and projects for you guys, and for making the moving situation possible in the first place! <3
