Anna was right about people being ugly and stupid in a different way from the past. In the past people tended to looked haggard quicker, like they never saw moisturizer a day in their life, at incredibly young ages (sort of looking like the Come and See kid). This probably was due to heavier smoking and drinking being common, pollution, malnourishment, etc. Nowadays people look ugly in exactly the way Anna describes: genderless blobs! Most likely this is due to current negative diet trends (such as seed oils) and the lack of proper nutrients per calorie that people are eating!
