Since you guys were talking about the comics and the red bandanas, I thought I would mention the 2011 IDW Turtles comics. Eastman brought the comics back in 2011, incorporating many elements of the turtles lore across different medias. Awesome series, one thing I loved is that the comic starts with Raph missing. The remaining 3 Turtles wear red bandanas in honor of Raph until they find him and return to their colored headbands.

It's funny that you mention Splinter strung up on the fence like Christ. Splinter actually says, while hung up, "All Father's care for their Sons" Could be a coincidence.

Playmates has had the TMNT license for almost 40 years. It’s been their flagship for decades, across each iteration. They’re losing it this year, and Mattel (he-man) is taking over. It’s a pretty unique property though, where there’s multiple iterations of beloved & successful TMNT. Playmates has had pretty successful lines for every version, except the live action stuff. NECA has some excellent figures from the live action movies over the last 10 years tho.

I laughed so much at this episode. TMNT 1990 is pretty much a perfect comic book movie. It is so ridiculous but has its serious moments. Waiting for the pizza scene is probably my favorite along with the Splinter/Shredder backstory. Shredder really got that rat by slicing off just the tip of his ear.
