In the next episode...

What I wanted to talk about is what's coming in the next Public build. We still have something we want to change from the content the game currently has, and we'll be releasing test builds to +10$ patrons before that, but the next big one is very much about moving forward with the story, and introducing new mechanics.
You may have noticed the game is divided by episodes. The current version (0.02d) has covered the "Intro", "Welcome to Bellwood", "The life of a normal teenage hero" and "A Plumber's duty".
I divide episodes thematically, and this means they won't be the same length. Some will be a bit of a pause, a time to relax after characters have defeated a powerful enemy. Others may be dedicated to introduce a new character to the rest of the cast. Another could be a long story arch that ultimately defines the whole game.
So why am I talking episodes then, if they don't help us know how much content a build will have? Well, firstly, I wanted to reassure you. We're very much working on the game (I'm currently writing the script for the new episode, "The Great Escape", Akanoes is adding stuff to the wardrobe); and secondly, I thought I would give you a summary of what's coming in the next one. Here it goes:
VERY MILD SPOILERS AHEAD! (mostly game mechanics)
. The wardrobe, which will let you change Shar's appearance inside and outside the house (provided you can convince her to)
. Shar's Plumber Training starts!
. Shar Sex training starts!
. Pakmar's shop opens
. Secret base construction can start
. New enemy type: the Hoe

To clarify, Gunsmoke Games hired me for the job. Sunset was the initial coder for it, but soon became clear that both SU and Scoob was -understandably- too much work for 1 guy. Locke is the current coder, and I the 2d artist. Only Gunsmoke Games knows when the game will be released, but I'm close to finishing all the illustrations for the game.

The hoe? Lol, the first thing i thought of was an actual giant farming tool hovering over the ground... I cant wait. I love shars personality, cause im a big fan of the airheadded ones in these kind of trainer games ^^ Any news on the scooby doo game soon? Im excited to see what can come out of two creators collaborating, cause im pretty sure that hasnt been done before in the H-game scene

We're trying to keep our part of the deal every month, so always aim for a test Alpha for +10$ patrons with each Goodie Pack. We intend to do that, it's also good for us. But I've taken advice precisely from Sunset -as well as taken a page from Akabur's book- about this. It'll be done when it's done. No promises about regular releases. When we've taken time so quality doesn't suffer, when the the content is GOOD and the thing is worth YOUR time, we'll release. Not before.

New patron here. Definitely thinking about contributing more when certain situations improve, but out of curiosity, when do you usually upload a new version? I know you said here progress can be uneven, but is there a certain date we should look for new uploads? Also, congrats on working with SS7.
