v0.13 Progress Report 1/28/25
🕑 Added 2025-01-28 11:00:07 +0000 UTCHappy Tuesday, everyone! It's time for another weekly report.
We are getting closer and closer to finishing the phone. We are touching up the last piece until it is good (for now.) We want to do more with it later, but it is hitting the point where it is usable for the build.
We remastered Kayra's sprite, which is exciting! Four out of the five Customers have signed with references delivered. One person is left, so check your DMs if you're reading this.
We finished some more Misc. Assets but also added 8 more to do. I hired an artist to draw cute new gallery icons for the 7 main love interests and the "other" category. That will hopefully be done in 2 weeks.
We animated another lewd scene! Now, there are just three more new to v0.13 scenes and nine redos of older scenes.
On the writing side, I have been working on Episode 7 and doing some wild planning for Jeze's park date. You'll understand when we get there.
Next month, I will focus on my taxes since I have to wait until the first week of February for Patreon to send me my stuff. So, I apologize in advance for any scatterbrainedness.
Now, for some bad news...
We finally got word back from Steam on our Next Fest Demo, and they rejected the demo. We suspect their bot that checks scripts didn't like the characters discussing that they once went to High School, so they decided the lewd game took place in a High School and denied us.
We can't fight them on this since they have a history of stubbornness and standing their ground. They are their own company, so they can do what they want. So what does that mean?
There will be no Next Fest and no demo for now. I'm unsure what we will do with the demo since it happened yesterday (a few hours ago as of writing, but you know, I schedule these). We're going to take a step back and figure out what we want to do with it. I don't want to make any promises right now.
How does this affect the eventual Steam release? We don't know. The store page is still up, which either means they forgot to kill it or are giving us a second chance. We plan on not posting any demos for a while and hope the next person we get at Steam is nicer.
With that behind us, we are fully dedicated to pushing v0.13! I asked last time if everyone was okay with waiting longer for a more complete build, and everyone who answered said yes, so that is the plan.
We'll see how the week treats us, but let's hope it goes well. Next week, we hope to start onboarding our new programmer, which is exciting!
Thank you all for your support and Stay Rad Out There!
