Frequently Asked Questions
🕑 Added 2024-12-05 22:33:49 +0000 UTCThis will be updated periodically.
When is the next update? Update when?
We usually create a new game version every two to three months. If no release dates have been posted, the next build will not have an exact date. If a build is taking longer than three months, it is likely because of unforeseen personal matters and/or we're doing something crazy that requires time to do right.
Please do not message me about a release date; I would rather work on the game than tell people, "I hope soon!"
When will the next free version come out?
v0.11.7 was the last free version with new content. There will be a v0.11.8 at some point that will fix bugs, add new content to earlier episodes, and improve play. But there will be no major content updates available for free anymore.
When will the game be released on Steam?
When we hit v1.0, this will likely take a few years.
Will the game ever go into Early Access?
We originally wanted to! Our original plan was to go Early Access on Steam around Episode 12, but now, Steam does not allow Adult Games into its Early Access program.
As for Itch.io, it's hard to say. Itch no longer allows adult games to be monetized, which removes our incentive to offer early access.
How much will Early Access be?
We are planning on charging $10 to $15. That price will likely rise every couple of episodes as more content is added.
Will the finished game be on mobile?
When we finish the game, you will be able to purchase the Android version from Itch.io. You can also use Steam Remote Play to play your Steam copy on your phone. It will not be an official game on the Play Store.
Can I play the game on my iPhone?
No, Apple only allows authorized apps to be used on their devices, and they don't authorize porn games.
Has this game been abandoned?
No, this is my full-time job.
How many Episodes/Chapters will the game have?
We plan to do 24 Episodes with a post-final build, Episode 25.
How can I play the latest version?
You can only play the newest build from my Patreon or Subscribestar. Nowhere else.
When will the game be translated into my language?
I will translate it once it is closer to full release, which may take years. The game is constantly in flux, and I always go back to previous episodes and refine the dialogue. So, until the game is done, a translation wouldn't make sense.
My screen is splitting the image in half; how do I fix this?
Try this! https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/display_problems.html
Can the player character be a femboy too?
No, the story is written from the perspective of a cis man who gets his horizons broadened. Making the player character trans/gender non-conforming would completely alter the story and how Isaac views every event in the game.
Can I change how the player character looks?
As nice as this would be, the amount of work involved would be massive. It would require a complete rework of the game, redoing every lewd scene and animation to account for every possible combination. It would cost a fortune to start and then upkeep.
What is the bathroom door code?
Hazel tells you a few lines before you need to enter the code. Go back or look at the dialogue history.
Is Dave going to be a romanceable main love interest?
No, he is not.
Will there ever be a hint system for missing scenes?
No, there will not. The game is designed to be replayed and for each playthrough to feel different. Including a hint system goes against what we are trying to do.
Can I listen to the game's soundtrack? Is there a place where the soundtrack is available?
Unfortunately, no. None of the music in Hazelnut Latte was explicitly made for the game, as it was licensed from artists for use in the game. These licenses dictate that I can use them as part of my creative work, but I cannot reupload them as a soundtrack. As such, there is no "Soundtrack" for the game. However, I will try to work something out once the game is finished. Don't forget this game isn't completed, so having a soundtrack for a game still in development would be a bit odd.
Who is the composer?
There are a few composers, but the one who does most of the music is lolurio. If you listen to their music packs on Itch, you will find many familiar tracks. https://lolurio.itch.io
What is the Backer Code/Backer Guided?
This code is available to $20 tier backers and allows them to play a version of the game with a guided in-game walkthrough.
Why does each backer tier get a different version of the game?
After the Alpha is complete, we stagger the releases so that the game is released to each tier every week—$ 10, then $5, then $3. The reason the version number changes is that as the build gets released to more people, the backers find new bugs. We fix those bugs and then need to create a new version. So, if v0.1.2 comes out for $10, then next week, $5 gets v0.1.3. This means that players have found issues, and we have fixed them for the next version.

Hi there, sorry am a bit late to the party. Love the game, its art and Hazel. But most of all: The work you and your artist put into this so far! One question about the Android version later: Do also backers need to buy it on itch.io?

As the player character develops they get more open to being the sub, if that's what you want

For the Boss / Manager of the store. Will the Dominant content only depict a relationship between her and the MC, or is there any intent to have that domination also begin applying to Hazel to any extent?
RadLord
Yes

I'm wondering if we'll get individual endings. Like if you're in a monogamous relationship with Hazel, an open relationship, a throuples with Hazel and Rob, or you broke up with Hazel and end up with someone else. Would we get different endings depending on who we're with?
RadLord
An orgy is definitely a thing I plan to have happen.

Just curious will there be a scene were we fuck everyone at once?
RadLord
That is safe to say xD as the development continues I can hire more help to speed things along. I'm holding off on hiring more help until I know how badly taxes destroy me
