Post v0.13 Alpha Recap + Progress Report
🕑 Added 2025-05-07 02:44:15 +0000 UTCHello everyone! v0.13 Alpha for Hazelnut Latte has been out for a few days now, and the bug reports have thankfully screeched to a halt!
Here are the bugs we have already fixed:
Fixed bug where gallery image "Maki Explicit" wasn't unlocking.
Fixed bug where the Backer Code was not working.
Fixed bug where game tried to load image "hazelcaferedo".
Fixed bug where the player_name was not defined in the Jeze Bored gallery replay.
Fixed bug where phone wallpapers were bugged when loading a save from v0.12.4.
Fixed bug where "Jeze's Seat" gallery image wasn't displaying.
Bug we are still looking into:
Bug where looking up Jeze's skirt in Episode 2 causes it to display on the side of the screen.
We only have one report of this and cannot replicate it ourselves, so please let us know if this is happening to you. If it is happening to you, please use the bug report form.
Naturally, this leads to the ultimate question:
When is v0.13.1?
The earnest answer is we don't know yet!
We have taken most of the last week off work to rest and recover, except to fix the minor bugs that have cropped up. We have a list of things we want to implement in v0.13, but we waited until the Alpha was out to start work on them. Tomorrow we are going to have a meeting about how long that will take and what it will entail.
What have we been working on?
We made good progress on our Unity build with Noba building our dialogue system! Now we can start transferring and editing our script to fit the new engine.
Kokman has been remaking backgrounds for the Unity version, which are much sleeker and easier to navigate.
Today, I got back to work and wrote over 4,400+ words! (Amazing what you can achieve when you take time off to play video games and spend time with your loved ones.) 3k of that was for Episode 7, specifically Tay's stuff! I'm not done with Tay's section yet, but it's a lot of fun.
1k of that is for something I've wanted to do in HL for a long time, but finally found the inspiration and direction to attempt it. (I literally got off the bus on the way home, stopped somewhere, busted out the laptop, and started typing like a demon.) If it works out, we'll announce it, but I want to write it and make sure it's worth our time. I just don't want to announce anything prematurely.
We also took some time to restructure our management and communication. We learned a LOT from the last build and have implemented measures to ensure everything runs better in the future.
Wrap Up!
Next week's update will give a clearer idea of what is happening with v0.13.1! Again, we spent most of the last week taking time off, so there isn't much to announce. So stay tuned!
Thank you all so much for your fantastic support! Remember to be kind to each other and Stay Rad!

Hey, just recently got here and I wanted to say that your game and what you're planning to do is insane! I have so much praise for so much different aspects of the project, I hope I will be able to give your team a better financial support in the future!
