Holy shitsnacks! Papa better be glad he wasn't stupid enough to hit Ansel while he was being threatening... something tells me that he'd be missing a throat right now if he had. Even if someone would have tried to stop him, I suspect that Evan would have been able to move even faster than he normally can. Whatever part of magic that allowed his hand to shift that way seems like it'd augment him in other ways if he had to spring into action.
