lardpunk

incredible tutorial, thanks!

XTENSE

It can be applied to those too, it's just different how to get the right shape for those, but yes, the theory is the same :)

Shybatboi0108

pardon but is this procedure the same for ass and tid or dif method for scaling those?

Gino Bagnino

Wow! I think that is a really good move start a tutorial on how to use Blender to create body inflation rendering/video: maybe with this we'll see new artists in the future! Nice job MF, nice tutorial!

Hey!! Really happy to hear appreciation for this! To be honest I always loved sharing and develop with other people, so I am really happy to help someone start diving into this world. At the end of the day, everyone know what they would like to see play out, having the basic tools to potentially make it happen it's always nice, even for still render instead of animations. Plus potentially more interesting fresh material for everyone in the community :D

SeriousSam

I just have to say I really appreciate you taking the time to do this, which encourages more people to make inflation animation. Making basic guides is tedious and generally not fun to do, so THANK YOU!!!

Very happy to be helpful! If you have any new topic that you like to be covered let me know! :)

XTENSE

Mhn... I'm currently using version 2.93 Which one do you have?

XTENSE

This is the kind of comment that makes me really really happy :) If you have a proposal for the next one let me know

Squidooshi

I'm just gonna say. I've had it in my head for years to get into making animations or stills. Then for the last two years I have had this passion to learn soft body physics for this purpose, but was always overwhelmed. Then bam, you did it. This has been so awesome, like seeing an idea just unfold and come to life. Sorry if cheesy, this is seriously a huge motivator boost...thank you!

SpookyDOTexe

My blender does not look the same as yours... I can't seem to be able to follow your tutorial because of this :(

Jattoska

I sorely needed this, thanks!

Lately I've got some people asking about it and I remember having to learn a lot by myself when switching to Blender. Maybe this comes in handy for someone like you too. These Shape Keys can be used on MMD too, but you will need a plugin to import-export pmx files. Maybe I'll do another one about that in the future :)

Prinny129

Ah interesting ^^ Didn't expect a tutorial for Blender o3o"

XTENSE

Also, if you make something or you have more technical doubts please reach out via DM (preferably on Twitter) to share it! I'll be happy to check out and provide help whenever I'm available! :)
