As much as I hate doing backgrounds, I'm kinda proud of how these ones turned out. I'm also going to be taking a day or two off before diving into the next page, because working on the first panel's background was draining even in short bursts...
Luckily the next two pages don't have backgrounds, so they should be much easier to hammer out.

I think it's a really great establishing shot. I'm not a fan of drawing buildings either, but the characters have to exist somewhere.
