The most notable change to the Corvette's exterior was the adoption of a new front-end design, featuring a sleeker nose, smoother curves, and more aerodynamic lines.
Under the hood, the Corvette received several performance upgrades. The base engine was a 5.7-liter V8 that produced 300 horsepower, a significant increase from the previous model year. Additionally, a new six-speed manual transmission was introduced, which improved the car's acceleration and top speed.
Inside, the Corvette received a host of new features, including a standard driver airbag, power seats, and a new Bose sound system. The car's overall cabin design has also been updated, with a more modern dashboard layout and high-quality materials, similar to the newly introduced ZR-1.
