Dev Log #93 - Proper development resumes!
🕑 Added 2024-10-11 22:00:06 +0000 UTCHi all, welcome back to yet another dev log! This week, I will mainly detail what's upcoming for the month of October and give the usual updates on Episode 3's development progress!
Spooky-tober is just around the corner!
With this being the month of October, I figured it would be fun to have a Halloween get-together; a small little pumpkin spice of a short story!
The twins are bringing their normally grumpy mom out for trick-or-treating! They will visit many different places, hoping to be rewarded with their fair share of candy! Hopefully, they'll come back in one piece, too!
This short story will launch together with Fathiyah's side story; which will be centered on her as the main character in her own side story!
Do look forward to what's in store in the coming weeks!
Episode 3 development update
Development of Episode 3 is well underway, with the first hundred or so renders already out of the oven, with many more still left in the queue waiting for their turn!
With the test release focusing heavily on gameplay mechanics, I must say it does feel good to be back to doing linear scene-to-scene renders, scene variations, and building on the entire cast's story progression as Cara begins to understand more and more of what's unfolding around her!
The story's structure is still undergoing initial scrutiny as it is that part of the development where I know what scenes I want to present, but am still pondering on their order and place within the episode itself!
Dialogue-wise, it has mainly been a lot of storytelling, as I'm fleshing out plot elements that come right after the endpoint of the test release!
---------------------------------------- EPISODE 3 WEEKLY BREAKDOWN --------------------------
Story: 50% done. General major plot points are mostly in place, but still need to be fully realized and explored. The main focus for the week ahead!
Renders: 2.5% done. 160 new renders added as of the time of this writing.
Dialogue: 5% done. Mainly a lot of plot writing and initial drafts of main plot points, I'm looking to flesh these out more after finalizing the story!
Game Playability: 0% done. A lot of dialogue is written but I have yet to stitch the renders together with them yet!

That's all for this week! Aside from the story planning of Episode 3, I will also be working on the October content, so there's lots to look forward to!

As long as that interrogation scene is unskippable, I will not download it. Its a game breaker. Period.
