I love how Nigel appreciates both the melody and the meaning. there are reactors that don't listen to the lyrics and only vibe to the music (which is okay!!!) and there are also people that focus too much on the lyrics and completely disregard his vocals, his skill, just how beautiful this song sounds. But Nigel always appreciates both. It's really refreshing to see someone that respects Han for his experiences and struggles but also for his music, voice and talent. I’m so happy you reacted to this! Thank you, Nigel! Also, I had his photo card I was obsessed with at the time (the one that's been going viral on X, haha) as a bookmark for my book, The Myth of Sisyphus. I was pretty far into it and was feeling the book's impact on my life when Han released Maybe, and the way he talks about life really reminds me of what the book discusses—absurdism! This philosophy helped shape my current worldview, and now I’m realizing that might be what he was referring to in the part that's in Human and Alien: "The only thing predictable about life is unpredictability." The coincidences are crazy, and I resonate, like so many others, with Han's views on life and self-improvement. <3
