I don’t know if there have been any bad singers but it’s possible, the point of the show is actually to make it through as many elimination rounds as possible without being unmasked, so even though they’re famous, the decision of who wins is based only on their singing ability without relying on their fame. The unmasking is just a fun aspect of this!

Hearing you say that singing ballads isn't easy makes me really think about how blessed I am.....My mom and my dad both have amazing voices, so logically I was born with a pretty good set of lungs and good vocal control.....I don't know how I would live if I couldn't just burst into song whenever I walk into the bathroom, or my bedroom, or wherever I want....honestly singing is one of my favorite things in life. Listening to people singing and being able to sing along, humming the melodies to my favorite songs, trying different styles and harmonies, adding my own little twists and turns to the notes, everything just fills me with so much joy. Singing is my life, and it makes me really sad that there are people out there who enjoy songs just as much as me, but can't sing them. I am honestly so lucky, like literally so lucky, and I wish that everyone was born with the gift of song as well.

Yeah no, I don't fully understand how the king of The masked Singer works in Korea because it's very different from The masked Singer over here. But it's definitely interesting to watch.
