In retrospect, I've been maybe a bit harsh, but I'd like nothing more than to see such a story put properly into words. Keep at it and you'll get there in time.

The Randall Durham story was unfortunately some of the hardest to read, repeating info dumps, entire sections that feels like you're reading doubled paragraphs and quite a lot of overexposition. Premise was great, but consider keeping it short and simple. A touch of mystery will always win over trying to go over meaningless details and repeating statements. The first ~ 1000 words feel like repeated 3 times with snipets of them repeated again later. To use more modern jargon, basically simping for the crown and duty to the realm.
