Foundry VTT Alpha is Live!
🕑 Added 2018-11-03 05:47:03 +0000 UTC Hey everyone, exciting news, the very first Alpha test build for Foundry Virtual Tabletop is ready! Those of you who have supported at the Master Worldsmith tier and had your pledges successfully processed this month will be getting a private message from me in the next few hours with details about where you can download the build.
I'm particularly excited to share that I have Alpha builds prepared for all 3 operating systems: Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux! Also, the initial Alpha playtest ships with basic game system support for D&D5e, Pathfinder, and a basic minimal system for more free-form play.
Testing Tips and Notes
Please review the following tips to make the most of your testing experience.
- Read the Hosting and Connectivity Guide for instructions on how to set your session up for multiplayer sessions.
- There is no NDA - so feel free to share your experiences with testing and feel free to invite players to join your test sessions. Please do communicate to those players the context for this test and that it is still very early in project development.
- Join our Discord Server, if you have not already done so. There is a specific channel devoted to testing feedback that I would appreciate if you use.
- There are plenty of non-Alpha tier project supporters in the Discord server who I'm sure would enjoy helping to test if any of you are looking for players to run a test session.
- Please be patient. There will almost certainly be bugs or other sources of frustration for many of you. Please help by sharing your feedback and giving me the details I need to process and respond to it.
- Reach out by messaging me directly in Discord if you experience any critical issues.
- For those of you in, or wishing to join, the Alpha testing tier who did not join prior to the November charge cycle - message me in Discord and I can attempt to arrange a one-time payment through other channels.
Thank you all for your continued support, and happy gaming!
Andrew
