Exciting First Steps
🕑 Added 2018-10-25 14:05:26 +0000 UTC Wow, what a cool 48 hours this has been. I'd like to start by saying I'm incredibly appreciate of the community support from tabletop gamers and other creators on Patreon, your encouragement and desire to see this project meet its potential is really exciting.I would like to share a few short notes that I hope the community can help me with during these next few weeks.
1. Spread the word. If there are gamers or gaming communities that you think may be interested in this project, it would mean a great deal to me if you could share the announcement video and encourage them to keep an eye on this project. The community can be a huge ally in helping to grow awareness of the project so thank you very much in advance for any shares, tweets, or links :)
2. Provide your feedback. It's been great to see all the amazing suggestions, ideas, and feedback on Discord, Reddit, YouTube, and elsewhere these past couple days. The tabletop gaming community has smart people with great ideas. Your feedback is really important to this project. I already am prioritizing some features and changes based on the responses I have received.
3. Please remain patient. I am really proud of the fast progress I'm making with Foundry VTT - but it will take some time to incorporate all the awesome features which players are looking for. I will be proactive in sharing details and features that are still work-in-progress, but just be aware this is still an early stage for the software.
4. Be ready for Alpha! I am aiming to have the first Alpha build to distribute to Master Worldsmith tier supporters by Saturday, November 3. I'll also be hosting some Discord chat sessions for backers at that tier to make sure everyone can get set up OK and has no issue installing or creating their first world.
Thank you all!
Andrew
