It’s truck week! And listen—I never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but we actually had a lot of fun working on the truck last week. She’s coming along nicely, and it’s amazing what some new carpet and a little reupholstery can do. We know truck life is a bit different from boat work, but we hope you enjoy this week's video just the same.
In real-time news: if you can believe it—there is a trailer under Spiffy as we speak! We’re just as shocked as you are. Thankfully, there was another trailer in the yard that she fits on, so we no longer have to wait for the one that’s still occupied.
Albert (the yard owner) slid the trailer underneath on Wednesday, and we’ve been prepping ever since. Fingers crossed, she’ll be fully secured by the end of today. It’s a big step, but just the first of many.
Next, Albert has to find someone to tow the boat from the yard to our splash site. Once that’s in place, we can finally book the crane. With the 4th of July coming up, we don’t expect much to happen next week, so we’re aiming for the second week of July—again, fingers crossed.
Once we have the crane booked, we’ll feel good about making a quick road trip up to Oriental to drop off some of our stuff. In the meantime, we’re tidying up the inside of Spiffy, getting her ready to move aboard, and wrapping up a few more truck projects.

Cheap way to fix the headliner. Remove the cloth. Brush off the loose foam dust. DONT scrape it. Take a piece of the cloth the home depot and have them color match it to a quart of latex paint. Buy a small but thick roller and roll right over the foam with the paint. Nobody will ever know you did it. I did this to my Camaro in when I lived in Florida. l drove it like that for five years. nobody ever noticed.....

Giving you a heads up. It appears YouTube has an issue with the sort function for sorting new versus old videos. It is not displaying all videos. It seems that it cuts off after 10 to 11 months. If someone wants to go back and watch you from the beginning, they are not able. I am so glad that I have watched all of your videos so I’m current. I will wave at you as you have your journey through the ICW and wave at you at the new Smyrna Beach Florida area.
