I wonder how much subject matter influenced the vote? Only 1 of 3 was NSFW, and it won by a landslide. It would be better to see portfolios for each artist, or maybe invite a sketch from each with a common theme like “sky and Leon taking a walk” and see how they interpret it.

not knowing is better. it has Influenced me before to vote against characters. Like when people kept clamouring for Red So much even though he's been disprotionally featured heavily in his favour in spicy over every other character beyond sky and Leon. I will say though I don't think this is a good 'control' test. I read what was said where artists provided their own examples but in this specific poll two of the three artists provided very sfw suggestive at best examples and the third was non sfw and people get thirsty and horny. I feel people got swayed easily. I'm super happy they won though because I love their art.

I don't mind the way just make me feel bad when of the three artists I only know of 1 and they get only a fraction of the winners poll. Even when looking over the others work to me at least it helps but it is what it is.

When we ask for examples, they know that's a deciding factor. We ask them to provide examples of what they would be willing to make for us.

I imagine if he had won, we'd have gotten something teasy and fun, like what he posts publicly. Something closer to the earliest ITILY spicy pictures. Or maybe he was gonna show peen. What do I know? Lol

I prefer the hidden results. Sometimes I believe other pick one just because they see (say) 75% pick over the others they follow. But also the pics used may have something to do with that. I don't remember if you did but maybe supply a link to the artists page/site may help as well.

Tbf with chiernbo he doesn't post public nsfw that I know of. So that would have been hard to show for the previews But I am surprised people didn't vote for him as much since this would have been, the first time to see his nsfw for most people.

That's fair. I think some input from you guys would be appropriate too. Something like asking for both sfw and nsfw examples. I won't say one poll proves my point, but one option here earned three times as many votes as any other option, and the blind format may not be the number 1 reason why. Lol (Let it be known I'm a big fan of the comic and I'm just giving a voice to the pollsters out there who I imagine pulling their hair out.)

I don't mind the blind poll, but it does seem like you'll get skewed results if you use sfw pictures in the examples of two artists, and NSFW pictures in the examples of the third artist. The analyst nerd part of my brain hates how you did that.

I like this way. Sometimes seeing a more popular vote can sway my vote in these types of polls, especially if I know all the artist options. Or if I don't know any of them at all.

I think all the polls should be done like this. When I go to vote for the monthly character, I usually don't end up voting because I see the character I wanted to vote for is losing by a landslide.
