Ideas for rooms would include: Ballroom, Side halls (with windows for shadows), Balcony, Meeting rooms, and bedrooms. Maybe a few thin hallways that can be used as hidden passageways.

A king's court and various other palace rooms. I've recently been thinking about a game more heavily influenced by court/political intrigue. Maybe the players save a noble and are added to the court as knights, now they must find out who put out the hit and why, starting them down a rabbit hole of backstabbing courtiers, and the people caught in between.
