'Head Over Heels' Tears For Fears Cover
🕑 Added 2020-06-12 20:46:24 +0000 UTCThis month's cover song is here! This time it's our take on the luscious 80's love song 'Head Over Heels' by Tears for Fears.
I don't know how obvious it is but we certainly have a degree of New Wave influence in our music. Perhaps not in actual sonic ambience as much as mood and feel. Don't get me wrong there's also a ton of it that couldn't be further from what we do LOL. This song has always held a special little corner of my mind for it's absolutely infectious melodies both vocally and instrumentally. I was really psyched when Anthony brought up the idea of doing this song a while back we just never really had a reason or the time to put into doing it until now. Given the state of the world perhaps it's slightly odd timing for a weird darkly romantic pop song but songs like this have a sort of "timeless" quality to them which makes anytime a good one for it.
This song has always made me feel both weird and good at the same time and our version takes the weird part a little further. We had a lot of fun with this one and I hope you dig it!
