I've never encountered it here before. Thrift store is the most common version I've heard. Had not previously heard the phrase "op shop." Is it commonly used anywhere in the US, or is it exclusively a non-American-English term?

I never think of TK Maxx (the UK version, weirdly enough) as a rich person shop… Though I have picked up one or two shirts from what turned out to be US designer labels, not normally seen much round here, in there.
