I was just told I was too smart for my own good. I think that was after I started the school bus when the kids were all in and the driver was standing outside flirting with one of the teachers. I might have also been told that when I reassembled a M-60 machine gun on Armed Forces Day at Schofield Barracks when I was in 2nd grade a few months later. But I had an advantage over your garden variety 7YO, the neighbor on the other end of the duplex was active duty Marine armored, and he would give me expired manuals for my scrap books and I would memorize them before cutting them up for the scrap books.

I think what Anh said was meant to be more "I find Hannelore attractive because of the high standard she sets" as opposed to "Hannelore is attractive, which makes her likeable". I feel like she's not subtle or self-aware enough to avoid saying "Why don't you like me? I'm hot!" if it was the way she was thinking. Or, even more foot-in-mouth, "I'm hot and a girl, and you said you liked girls! Is that not charming?".
