@Stephen Wells: I expected them to have different meanings. The guy who caught strays in the town I lived in for my most formative years did something very different with them than those of us who picked up strays. It felt like they knew also, because he had to catch them to do his thing, they wouldn't just walk up to him to be picked up. That having been said, that wasn't at all related to the meaning catching strays came to mean, which probably would make a lot more sense if I reflected how many more people have inner city experiences while growing up than I did.

@BookBeard: I believe we've seen they have a moonbase they occupy simultaneously with Northampton. Most of the time, the moon is further away from Northampton than Cubetown. In the quite rare circumstances when it isn't, Yay would have bigger problems, as would everyone else. Yes, I'm sticking with most of the time. Sigh. Well, ok, would switching to the vast majority of the time suit you? We may have to agree to disagree, or maybe you'll have to accept that I know something you might not, or at least think I do. Just saying.

I would disagree with Yay as a “single being”, considering their parts are not a hive mind, make independent decisions and sometimes disagree. As a DID system, we can relate to Yay in a different way- we just wish we also had multiple (external) bodies! 😅

They aren't really a "collective" though, Yay is one single being that just happens to have multiple bodies, so one deciding to leave doesn't really make sense. That doesn't preclude the possibility of bodies being in Northampton and Cubetown simultaneously though, we don't know if they have a limited range for that sort of thing.
