Dora presumably told her that she *had* to have matrons of honour, and Anh and Cleo must have been the nearest things to old friends she could come up with. Cleo did refer to Anh as a friend, but, well, a problematic one.

I think it's the first time she had a conversation where *she* was being real. Just because your friends try to have an honest conversation with you doesn't mean you let them, and she certainly seemed well practiced at deflection and repression. It took a hefty dose of Hanners' weapons-grade sincerity to crack that wall, which Faye then smashed through like the Kool Aid Man of unvarnished truths.

It's funny, but I really didn't like Ayo when she first arrived, but warmed up to her eventually. (She is still a C tier list character for me) Anh on the other hand was an immediate out of control dumpster fire and I loved her right away, as much as she annoyed me. This is just getting better and better.
