I know someone of that group who is a phenomenal birder, pilot, and organizer. She’s also a crack markswoman. Oh yeah, there's that too. And when you open the 428x620 image in new tab it's a .png, but the 800x1160 is a .webp. At the moment my browser's configured to save .png attachments but to open .webp attachments, so it's not such a problem, except it actually opens two tabs, one that stays empty, and it does still save the image to my download directory. So there are two tabs to close and files to clean up. *Very* not well thought out. Dumbing of Age also went from 736x245 to 620x206 and png/png inlines to png/webp attachments. Dresden Codak went from "tiny tiny preview on a link to the dresdencodak.com site where the image is 2200x3382 jpg because fuck Patreon" to, well, same thing. I've submitted a ticket to Patreon support.

Oh good, it's not just me. They seem to have changed something on the servers to now make browsers download when opening images directly. Very annoying, as it's extra steps when I just wanted to see the image in full size and be able to pinch-zoom and scroll about it. I can still do it, it's just a bunch of extra clicks and I have to remember to delete the downloaded file after. Edit: Compared with yesterday's, they changed the response header from Content-Disposition from "inline" to "attachment". Might make it work better for non-image Patreon files, but absolutely sucks for images (which would be most things on Patreon).

The image on the Patreon page used to be 620x899, now it's 428x620. Click on it and you used to get and still do get an image scaled down from 800x1160 to fit the screen size. Right click that and choose Open Image in New Tab and you get the same in a new tab. Click on *that* and you get the 800x1160 image at full resolution. It's ludicrous you have to go click, right click select, select new tab, click to see the comic at full size but it's always been that way — except now it's worse because the starting point is lower resolution.
