Thank you for continuing Cubetown storylines! I love it!

Did I miss someone else already posting this?… https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QrGrOK8oZG8
Opus the Poet
Someone has to be the adult. Might as well be Marten.
Opus the Poet
Something Marten and I have in common. It was even noted by law enforcement when they were explaining why they were following me home from work. "Son, you're an idiot magnet. We just need to follow you for a couple of days and we have our ticket quota for the month."
Charles Hirst
Don't forget https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5061
awgiedawgie
I came here to say this... If it were Liz's job, she's not doing it very well. 3 hours late, Liz? That's shameful.
adrian koren
The revery alone will do.
alphanor
This has been a sit-com since the very beginning, with emphasis on the sit...
ValdVin
Marten. Marten Marten Marten. MORTON.
TV4Fun
A scoop of kids to add the spice
AlexKorobeiniki
Moray, you are absolutely not the person to be talking like that, lol
Josh Moberly
It takes a lot to make a stew A pinch of salt and laughter, too A scoop of kids to add the spice A dash of love to make it nice, and you’ve got Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many Cooks Too many
Josh Moberly
A pinch of salt and laughter, too
Jason Wotzko
Or knock over a small plastic cup of water
Miyaa
Also a bit randy and makes ribald jokes in French «Ooh, tu as touché mon gros bouton!»
Morganna
That would be cool. Unfortunately it would spoil the (potential running) gag in the comic of course. Same as my suggestion. 😅
Hugh Eckert
Maybe she would like to kick a small plastic trashcan...
Hugh Eckert
Service!
Philip Masters
As I recall, Moray didn't seem especially interested in sex when the subject was raised by a misunderstanding, though she wasn't offended either. She just pointed out that she's not certified okay for oral use (ooh matron). I don't get the impression she has an actual libido, even if she also doesn't have inhibitions.
Philip Masters
Gently simmer, I imagine. Boiling sounds dangerous for her.
David Durant
That's fascinating BookBeard. So, the opposite of trolls then?
David Durant
It is their pleasure to open for you, and their satisfaction to close again with the knowledge of a job well done.
BookBeard
Knowing Cubetown, the door is sentient and you just have to ask politely.
Miyaa
Cubetown’s lofi girl. All that’s missing is the chill music.
Miyaa
What if he forgets his keys? Or maybe Cubetown is sophisticated enough for a biometric security system?
Matt Pedone
Or, maybe a neon/electronic sign that's tied to the main door lock? Something that he would always do to open the store (and then reverse to close up) that would trigger the sign turning on?
Stephen Wells
Jeph, currently writing the longest-running sitcom on the Web :)
William Cole
That could be dangerous, Byron. She'd almost certainly spring a leak.
TV4Fun
It takes a lot to make a stew.
allanfranta
"literally"
Melissa Wilson
Moray may be more uniformly cuddly, but I would still swoon at the chance to stay up at night, just to listen to Marten snore, even if it meant the occasional surprise meeting with a pointy elbow.
Eric Sieck
Not like there's anything wrong with that.
Byron Wright
I would like to see what an Emily brand cup of tea would do to Moray.
Mark
She hadn't met Moray yet, and was open to the idea of Moray being a more comfortable bed partner than Marten. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5068
enchantedsleeper
How many times has it happened so far?
enchantedsleeper
CAN YOU SEE ME? IF YES, PUSH DOOR
Carrie
That would be such a different experience compared to just smelling it.
Chris Warren
I forgot about Zlata. I need to see more of her; she's sweet and charmingly English-as-a-second-language. (Apologies if that comes across super-condescending.) Kind of a Latka Gravas thing.
Mark
Claire might get worried about the number of women wanting to get close to Marten, but she'd just have to remind herself that that was basically the Nothhampton dynamic anyway.
Steve DeGroof
Y'know, I'd kinda like to see hoodie pockets available on just about every type of apparel. Polo shirts, dress shirts, tank tops, tuxedos, wedding dresses...
Chris Warren
Marten is just too damned lucky. What an adorable situation.
Shane Wegner
CHECKLIST.
David Paul
Moray does seem to be affectionate towards Marten and Claire. But as runrin suggested, affectionate like a pet (and she does kind of remind me of my cat Skittles).
David Paul
Depends on how seductively you can say "open for business".
Constanze Carstanjen
That's been Marten's role from episode 1 somehow. First to Pintsize, then to Faye, Hanners... and now to the good folk of Cubetown.
Morganna
He should just get rid of the sign. Door unlocked: open. Door locked: closed.
BookBeard
I'd bet there is already an entire research department in Cubetown dedicated to studying Marten's "Weirdo Attractor Field".
BookBeard
Well, we know she gets dumber when you stick her in a freezer, presumably because colder water is less conductive. So to overclock I guess she would... boil herself? https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5092
enchantedsleeper
This has been a running theme in the comments ever since Moray showed up xD But we haven't had one in AGES
BookBeard
It's a real shame for residue collectors. Maybe if you ask nicely? https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5380
BookBeard
I'd like to think that instead of smelling tea she just swallows a tea bag and lets it steep.
legobil
Nice. 😊
Alcaria Swain
This comic makes me so happy
Kurtis S Whittington
As a completely different form of AI existence, I'm wondering if olfactory sensation produces the same kind of hallucination triggers for Moray as it does for other robotic AI cast (IE: The tea huffing visions)
koalou
Great, now I have the song in my head… I only heard it for the first time yesterday, talk about timing ^^'
Andrew
Professional coffeeshop shill.
Andrew
Soon after it becomes a competition to make S+ first tho
Andrew
Ol’ Boaty does a Speed 2 to come check
Andrew
The Librarian and the Babysitter
Evan Embree
I love that he's wearing a polo shirt with hoodie pockets. Some things die hard
Bagge
Don't tattle, Liz
Charles Hirst
Dean Martin in September 1953 - practically yesterday!
legobil
Both Liz and Moray would confirm the other to be an S-tier weirdo. Neither would be wrong.
Jeff Brown
How much subjective time has passed for Moray since yesterday? For all we know she overclocks while everyone is sleeping and gets into trouble our cast is not yet aware of.
Populuxe
I’m honestly impressed 43 people (as I type this) got this 72 year old musical reference.
runrin
touch means different things to different people. for me, its more how close she likes to get to him, constantly glomping on, that makes me think she feels attached and wants to hold onto that. i could see moray as aro, but it seems to me she really wants to be around, and physically intimate (at least platonically) with the two of them. i'm also okay with moray just being marten and claire's cat lol. snuggling a bunch, then mostly doing her own thing.
Sparky
Liz needs a chili recipe - that is both Tibetan & beanless.
That one guy
To be fair, I'm also poly and dying for more representation in media, but those three wind up waking up in bed together with surprising regularity
William Cole
Bravo!
William Cole
I agree with AA.
William Cole
Moray does seem to go out of her way to be touching Marten.
Carl Fink
I mean, that's a statement that can be perfectly true in a specific moment, but not the next day, without any dishonesty.
BookBeard
Claire has said she and Marten are strictly monogamous. But that sort of thing has never stopped shippers before, so you do you! https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3691
Andrew Mitchell
Fun fact, they're ALL s-teir weirdos. And I'm here for that 100%
BookBeard
It's definitely Marten's job to flip the sign, but he's also the one who decides if the sign *should* be flipped. So technically only he can say if he's doing a good job or not.
BookBeard
Returning to Cubetown might get us closer to finding out, actually. If Yay wants to determine the Directors true intentions, and thus whether it's safe to return, a message to someone they trust in Cubetown, a.k.a. Claire (possibly relayed via Aurelia), seems like a likely first step.
BookBeard
Zlata worked there (due to a misunderstanding by Moray) until she was hired as Claire's underling. It's a democratic worker's collective with nobody in charge, but at least the ice cream machine hasn't injured anyone recently. https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5093 https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=5117
BookBeard
When a sentient blob Steals a gremlin's fake job That's A Moray!
Mooster
I gotta say, I'm really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really liking Cubetown a lot. Like, I'm so happy we're splitting time like this. That being said, I would please like to know what's going on with Yay. Please. And that whatever it is, it turns out good. Just sayin'.
Ursus Ridens
Are we sure of the nature of Liz's attachment to Martin? Does our author need to bring in, oh, say, Clinton* to worship her? Also, I'm having trouble imagining a Cubetown cafeteria. Have we seen it? Given the state of Cubetown, might it be, well, odd? *Sorry, Eliot, for the drammer.
MikeT
So really, the Director wanted to hire some Parents for Cubetown. Marten and Claire are an....interesting choice, but not one without merit.
Ursus Ridens
They already have one.
Miyaa
Ooh, a cafeteria. Hey, I bet I know a couple of weirdos who have cafeteria work experiences from Northampton, 🇺🇸. (They probably also know what to do when blood is added to the food.)
Michael Steamweed
Same reason the T-1000 didn't leave liquid metal droplets everywhere. All of the goop, wherever it may be, finds its way to Moray.
Michael Steamweed
I'm suspectin' she ain't hired. Just a regular. THE regular (the only one there).
Michael Steamweed
Why does it have to be just one S-Tier Weirdo? Why can't it be everyone in my group??
Michael Steamweed
Ya know, that's a trio I hadn't thunk of before now. But since you mention it.....
Michael Steamweed
It literally is not her job. I'm not sure whose job it is. Maybe Marten's. Maybe no one's? :O
Egos
Same. Not even sexual reasons. I just think moray enjoys the thought of being in one
Michael Steamweed
Oh, Lord, the Director doing a wellness check! A boat-sized tentacle comes out of the ocean, right through a window, lightly tapping on Marten's shoulder. He freaks out every time. :D
Holly Nelson
Oooo baby ♥️
Adarsh Nednur
Depends on if this is a euphemism, I think
Andrea Andrew
She’s in love with both Claire and Marten.
Magic Chopstick Games
I’m sure we could set up regular wellness checks for the open sign between Moray, the Director, and Ol’ Boaty
Populuxe
Can I have a goopy girl to make sure my sign is getting flipped?
Mia Augustson
It would make sense if she had to powder herself several times daily
Doc Gumby
The Liz/Moray Field is a major test of Marten's Chill Zone.
Dean Reilly
If it's Liz's job to make sure that the sign is flipped, she needs to get more serious about it.
Zig Justice
No, I really think she doesn't understand what a "crush" is on a fundamental level
Mia Augustson
Just checking. Did you mean "too naïve not to have a crush on everyone?"
ValdVin
Three distinctly different and keen goblin faces today on Liz.
That one guy
Shipping the Martin/Claire/Moray polycule harder than ever
Sammitch
If everyone that you know is an S-Tier weirdo, does that mean that no one is?
Shawn K. Younkin
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
Mia Augustson
Ah. So she's non-Newtonian then
runrin
do you think she's got that sort of hydrophobic powdery feeling that those weird gel toys you cant hold onto have?
Brendan Luster
what exactly is her job?
Celine Chamberlin
Compared to the gobin, Marten is a giant-sized silly.
Polymathic Man
It's like the skin that you find on custard if its left uncovered
Zig Justice
I'd say Moray has a crush on Marten, but I'm pretty sure Moray is too naive to have a crush on anyone
Jason Wotzko
Liz might enjoy a recreational table flipping, but a plastic one
Jay
Liz doesn't want to lose her excuse to hang out with Marten
Daniel Burnett
And now that song is stuck in my my head again 😂
Joel Bateman
I want Moray arm hugs now.
John
It's the goblin's job to flip the sign!
Mia Augustson
How does she not leave residue all over everything??
runrin
still incredibly hopeful for a marten/claire/moray polycule, or at least for moray to hook up with them sometimes. ok. thanks.
Orion Rhine
Marten and Claire seem to have kids now.
Tannerbot
These two need a sitcom.
