Oh this is funny. Lately I've been rereading a lot of the older comics and had just gotten to the original of this one. I then wanted to have a look at the latest and ended up with the exact same comic. I was a bit confused at first.

Me too. Their breakup seemed so infuriating at the time. Which is exactly what Jeph was going for. I am glad we got both Tai and Claire in exchange. Totally worth it.

Three years, I think. No, probably more like six. I'd get up to check the card in my wallet, but I can't stand the cracking of my knees and back this late in the evening. Gave up my mouse for a trackball years ago, so I'm good, so long as my thumb and index finger keep working. Oh, and one more thing: GET OFF MY LAWN!

It's odd. I came to QC when Jeph did a guest strip for another comic I was following. I forget which one! Similarly, I came to DoA a couple nanoseconds after Dina made an appearance in QC. Dina is my inner dinosaur! Where has all the cross-comic traffic gone? Are we (and Jeph, by association) getting old?

I started reading QC around #400, and I thought of this strip as "one of the early ones", only to realize it came over 1000 comics after I started reading! Time is so weird in QC Land.
