Home Chef Hustle. News updates
🕑 Added 2023-10-06 12:11:46 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
We want to keep you updated on how the update is going and when to expect it
To begin with, I'll show you how the new product system works in the game:
For example, a White cake.
If you uncheck "Prepped ingredients", then you can cook as before- using a standard set of products - flour, eggs, sugar. And the recipe goes on as usual
If the check mark "Prepped ingredients" is👇, then the products are replaced with batter, which can only be prepared in a mixer. And the recipe acquires a special drawing with a clock (this means that the cooking time can be shortened).
If you have batter in your refrigerator or Sim's luggage, the recipe will be highlighted in blue👇, which means that the recipe can be prepared faster by skipping the stage of kneading the dough manually.
It's the same with salad- or you use "Any vegetables" and cut them by hand. Or you mix vegetables in a mixer and use a blank, bypassing the stage of slicing vegetables on a board.
Why am I showing you all this:
to explain that our custom products are not included in this new system yet. For now, we can only wait for Srsly to be able to implement SCCOR tags into the game system (thanks to her for puzzling over how to do it now - it's far from easy)
After updating the script, it will take time to update more than 300 EA recipes to add these new settings to each of them.
Moreover, all our custom recipes also need to be updated for the new system. And this is also a plus of more than 200 recipes)) Fortunately, not all of them need updating
I would like to tell you realistically and honestly that this is a job for more than a few months. It's like writing a new mod from scratch.
Please do not wait for quick changes, we have already started work and we will definitely do it.
At the moment, the recommendation is to switch to the EA Recipes version (how good that we have it) until the mod update is released. So you can not only cook recipes, but also use the products of the game.
And the recommendation is to delete the entire [SS] EA Override (Optional) folder if you use a culinary mod. Delivery and the new refrigerator menu are working
The process of work:
1. The cookbook update will be released soon, and you will be able to sort recipes inside the menu (vegetarian, meat, fish, desserts, lactose-free) - it will become more convenient
2. Next, we will update all our custom recipes in the EA version. And you will be able to fully use them together with the mixer (expected in October). They will be posted immediately in one day when ready with a notification about it (you can download in one-click bulk download and separately)
3. After the release of the SCCOR script update, we will update our custom recipes in the Custom and mod versions (expected no earlier than November)
For a quick one-click download of all recipes in the EA version, you can use our mass download (available to our patrons of the Gourmet level)
or download recipes in your publications
P.S. Let me clarify once again that all recipes work and do not break your game! Even without an update. No errors were found! All recipes can be prepared, and in the EA version use the products of the game.
If you don't want to upgrade to the EA version, you can continue using the custom version, but at the moment it is limited in products.
Until the Culinary Mod is updated, we will release recipes only in the EA version for now, and Custom will be added after.

Thank you for thoroughly explaining, and letting us know about the future options. I am keeping customs until you roll out the big update, they still work just fine in game. I can't wait to see what's next on the menu. Thank you S&S!

Does your “All Baking from the Cupcake Machine in the oven” mod still work after this last update?
