At one point he mentions a Malgeir looking just like someone's pet at home, but other than that it doesn't get too specific. I still hope at some point we'll get an official design that's not just "dog in a spacesuit"^^

I asked about this earlier and the Author doesn't at this point plan to expand on the visuals of the novel beyond "dog in a spacesuit" as that is not the focus of the story, leaving the imagining to the readers - the people, the ships, the cities - they look just like you imagine them to look.

I'm torn. I like the species and I don't mind them being inspired by Earth animals, but this feels a bit lazy^^ Or are these just placeholders?
