I had hoped that she would take on the persona of her character in the game. The way she talks about it it sounded really cool.

oh noooooooooooo, I'll have to reread the story agaaaaaaaaain. how could youuuuuuuuuuuuu. /S :) I am fine with the changes to Amelia's disguise implementation and not having the truth teller, but I always felt that the interaction with Amelia's magic with The Vengeance was properly foreshadowed. I also liked how the code book factored into the encounter with the Indy. I thought it was a good way to show that some bad had happened to the crew of the Indy and that they were communicating with someone who didn't know the correct pass phrases.

I concur, big changes can disrupt active reader retention. This breakdown of the introduced changes, including the extensive list of notes per chapter, really smooths this over quite excellently.

The one danger of live updating a book is sometimes readers have to be privy to and deal with rewrites like this, happy you figured out a solution and look forward to rereading to catch the changes!
