Sounds like she cares more about saving her reputation than the damage it's causing to her friends... Makes me wonder how the brother will feel if he saw of heard of this

Aaaand, still not an apology. She got close, but no cigar. I can understand the defensiveness, and it's becoming clear that she does actually have some remorse for hurting her friends like this, but she still has not actually owned up to that fact and apologized. Seems like she's more interested in trying to save face and rationalize her way out of the emotional pain she caused, and needless to say... that isn't working.
