🕑 Added 2024-09-28 00:05:04 +0000 UTCWhen I was planning out “Method Acting”, I realised I needed to design brand new characters that had a likeness to already-existing characters! Here are the original concepts.
I wasn’t very pleased with Teagan and Morris’ designs.. I felt like they were too on the nose. I also feel it would be in bad taste for Jessica to reference Matt’s beanie, which was something he wore when he was at his most depressed and closeted. I don’t want Jessica to seem callous and cruel so I changed Morris to have hair instead.
When I transferred the file to Photoshop to colour the characters in, I redesigned them a little! I also changed the names a bit. Terra and Raven felt WAY too obvious.
I did colour Teagan in at one point with her original design, but I did not like it. I needed more of Tiff to be prevalent.
Then, I ended up reading Beautiful Darkness and that inspired me to change Teagan’s design to match the villain of that comic!
