Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well. It's great that most of the cheer squad is willing to let her try out, but this might backfire. Any blunders she has might be spread by Katie.

To be fair, we're only seeing a small portion of the student body so who's to say how popular any one person is from the small window we're seeing? Popularity also isn't always about how many people you know, but who you know and how much influence you have. That being said, I think Stacy might be just getting in with the popular crowd, while Sue knows more of the normal/geeky crowd. So in terms of popularity, they're probably about even.

Yep, I remember when Jess and Rachel first showed up, Katie was all over trying to get in their good graces, but they told Daisy they didn't like her because she was a bully, so her being nice is just her trying to get on their good side, even though they don't like her. Though they do know abit about Sue, so really Sue is already more popular then Stacy.

They may be accepting this, but uts probably not going to go well. Also, Jess and Rachel are popular for their year (if I'm remembering correctly) so it makes sense that katies trying to suck up to them.
