Figure Drawing: Week 20

I sure am glad to be back because it’s actually been three weeks since the last session! Souppy’s mother visiting made coming to these sessions kinda challenging and so I’ve only found an opportunity now, when she’s left to go back to Australia!
I miss her already but I’ve also missed these drawing classes ;__; LET’S SEE HOW RUSTY I AM

This model moves around so much, she’s so great!!
The 2s. I felt like I was doing pretty well, really confident quick lines and getting the whole figure done before time would run out, AND THEN I DID THAT FINAL DISASTER ON THE FAR-RIGHT. I made her ribcage area too big and short :-[ I noticed that pretty immediately and so I made the legs more haphazardly because I wasn’t going to rescue that mess lmao
I guess the horrible final drawing from the 2s followed me into the 5s ;__; ugh these are…….. something. I’m again upset by the charcoal feeling really dull. I should sharpen it!!!! Or draw bigger!!!! All my dumb ass fault!!!!!
Here’s the 10s and I’m feeling the same :| ugghfffhhdhdhdhdhd I hate how dull the charcoal feels but when I try to sharpen it, it breaks apart and leaves a chipped up tip. What a mess.
I felt a bit better about the 20 minute pose. I sharpened one charcoal pencil and it behaved well-enough, I also like the way her face turned out and that was the first thing I did :-[ so that boosted my confidence a bit haha

Nah I kinda like some of them like the one of her curling up in the middle, but I’m feeling pretty demotivated right now and just want the session to end aaaaaaa I hate charcoal aaaaahxjdjchchjc it just doesn’t feel comfortable, but I’m sure I’m making excuses. I sharpened it again!! So!!
The first 20! Or more like.. 10 or so. I dunno, I lollygagged a ton during this one. I was on my phone and messing around and just demotivated WHICH ISN’T GOOD BUT I COULD ALREADY TELL THIS WAS SHIT UGHHHHHH
I dunno whatever!!!!!! This is the first time I’ve done something like that and I should make sure it’s the last!!
I TRIED!!!!! ;_; Waughh I’m reminded why I find charcoal challenging hahaha, BUT OH WELL I PERSEVERED WITH THIS ONE and hopefully I do for next week!! See you soon!!
