Figure Drawing: Week 12

I notice I find myself depressed and frustrated when I’m drawing men, but there’s something so swoopy and natural about drawing curves :-[ I mean, that clearly shows that I should be drawing more men since they’re what I struggle with, BUT I’M HAPPY TO GET A DIFFERENT CHOICE THIS TIME AROUND. So let’s start with the 1s!
The 2-minute poses started appearing here, I really loved how varied she was. Her hair was pretty cool as well!
5-minute poses, tried to broadly brush some quick shading. There’s a way that I’ve figured out that is super easy, having flat rough charcoal that I just rub on its side.
10-minutes! I focused so much on her sitting pose that time ran out on me to shade, but I kinda didn’t want to shade it either. I liked the way the sketch looked.
20-minute! I love the way her floating foot looked. I’m trying to be better about shading so the figure doesn’t look like a burn victim :-[
Back to the 2s! God that first pose is embarrassing, as you can tell by the side-note :-[
Fives. I WAS SO ANGRY BY THE SITTING POSE. It was such a good pose, but I completely messed up drawing the curve of her behind and spent a lot of the time trying to haphazardly fix it :l Which feels like such a waste because it was such a dynamic pose. OH WELL.
First of the two 20-minute poses! You can see my measurements still there. I’m trying to do that more, as I have a habit of doing too much eyeballing :l;
