Surprise!
A new project, I will show how to easily and quickly make a super fun and fringey hip scarf.
All the information you will need is all in this one video. You might not even have to use a sewing machine depending on your fabric choice(s) and size.
All you need is:
1 or 2 meters of stretch fabric (I recommend fabric width of a 50 inches or greater) how to select an appropriate fabric is covered in the video.
Scissors
Measuring tape
An adventurous spirit
A couple of hours
And ...
Maybe a sewing machine :)
Please note completing this project may require you to go fabric shopping which if you are like me, can lead to fabric "collecting". Please proceed with caution, and creativity lol.

No I don't think you are being paranoid because I think it would depend on how the sequins are attached to the fabric and if the machine that attached them knotted/fixed the thread at each Sequin. I have made a few costumes with sequined fabric and have not had big issues with a lot of Sequin loss where cuts were made. There was a little bit of loss initially but nothing alarming. In fact most times I ended up having to manually remove sequins with a stitch ripper to clear some road to sew lol. But if the sequins are attached with the thread running horizontally and you cut straps vertically then it might? It's certainly a good question and would be worth maybe acquiring a sequin fabric in person so you can see how the sequins attach. I will try to attempt a Sequin one in the coming week and will update how it goes:)
I don't have any sequined fabric in my stash right now, but I would worry that when you started cutting the hanging strips, you would be cutting the thread keeping the sequins on the backing fabric, and you'd start snowing sequins... Is that just me being paranoid?
