Hello Lovely Dancers!
It's time. Brace yourself for this journey of learning a choreo with yours truly. Sit back and try to relax while you watch me struggle to remember what my own brain and body came up with.

On the bright side by the end of this experience learning choreo should be easier as it can't get much worse than this.
Jokes (laced with truth) aside here is the written breakdown of our first section
*disclaimer - written notes make it sound way more complicated than it is***
Section 1 covers from the very start to approximately 27 seconds.
Start with the veil in front of you, even tails on either side. I start with my right leg lifted and toes pointed but that is up to you.
First 6 counts walking forward with veil (option, use snake arms with veil while walking, or not, it's up to you).
Next 6 counts stepping back
4 counts stepping forward again, this time with arms up to head so that veil frames the head.
(Whole section is 16 counts)
4 counts stepping back again
On counts 5 to 6 (2 counts) bring veil over head so that it is behind you
On counts 7-8 (2 counts) shift weight left leg while right arm scoops in front with veil.
(8 counts total)
6 counts turning to right (clockwise) I am doing it as 3 successive turns, 2 counts per turn. If this feels to fast for you then just start with 1 turn at 6 counts or 2 turns T 3 counts and work your way up. **
Fewer slower cleaner turns will look and feel better than 3 turns that look like you just said bloody mary 3 times in a bathroom mirror at a sleepover when you were 10 ...
On counts 7 and 8 you should be facing forward again and here with the weight on the right leg and the left leg extended out the left arm sweeps up and back down with the veil

Next 6 counts with use the right arm
2 counts sweeping down
2 counts sweepin up
2 counts sweeping down and in front
2 counts left arm sweeps veil down and in front.
(8 counts total)
Next 8 counts
2 counts right arm sweeps veil low and in front
2 counts left arm sweeps veil low and in front
2 counts sweep veil high over right shoulder (aka behind butterfly
2 counts sweep veil high over left shoulder
Next 4 counts
2 counts sweep veil high over right shoulder
2 counts double time sweeping veil over shoulder (left, right, left and open to lead into oncoming turn)
Voila! Section 1 done.
See you next time for section 2 (approximately 27 seconds to 59 seconds)
