🕑 Added 2025-03-18 19:27:46 +0000 UTCI strictly follow the rules of haremlit as described on r/haremfantasynovels. These are: Harems must be MFFF+ by the series end. No works or series that include cheating, cuckolding, NTR, sharing, futanari, loli/underage in the harems. These rules also apply to romance for men, with the only exception being the number of love interests.
These are my rules for books and writing. Under no circumstance shall they be broken. They are my commandments for storytelling. Developed with the fantastic Misty Vixen.
Cheating, sharing and/or cucking is strictly prohibited and forbidden under all circumstances.
Main character is always male and heterosexual, and all love interests are always female.
Any betrayal to the main character by love interests, or from the main character to the love interests, is strictly forbidden.
Love interests may not die or experience extreme and/or graphic suffering, ever.
The main character and love interests are always loyal, loving, caring, and kind to each other.
The main character and love interests may not, under any circumstance, intentionally and maliciously harm each other.
The main character and love interests must always, under all circumstances, protect and support each other in positive endeavors.

I kinda like that you posted these to be honest. Every author is different and will have different rules or directions they kind of abide by, but I really appreciate that you are transparent about what your relationships are going to look like. It's a good set of rules to follow 😁

I'll answer those for you! 1. Anyone not involved in the harem, either male or female. I will never violate that rule. The rest of your question is answered below. 2. They can only have relationships with the MC, though I should clarify that love interests can have relationships with each other, and those relationships are secondary (think of them more as BFFs), and love interests won't ever do anything intimate without the MC. MC is the primary focus and relationship. MC will always be present for anything sexy/spicy. 3. I won't write scenarios where characters unintentionally betray their relationships with each other. 4. I won't write enemies to lovers because I don't think I'd do a good job and it's not really my thing. Hope that helps! Thanks for being a supporter! I did want to say there are some moments in my past work where the MC sleeps with another woman outside of the harem but only with approval from the harem members, though I'm not going to be doing this again. The only time a new girl would have an intimate moment with the MC is if they are added to the harem as a new member, but the same rule applies: everything stays in the harem.

So first of off, not disparaging your rules, at all. Just asking some clarifying questions. 1. By sharing you mean with other Men and not other love interests? 2. Can love interests have intimate relationships with each other outside of their relationship with the MC if he is aware of and okay with it? Especially if they were say a couple before meeting the MC. 3. What if the MC or the love interests accidently/inadvertently betray one or the other (as a plot point)? Especially if they try and fix it as soon as they realize it's happened? 4. What about enemies to lovers? Is that a thing you would write? Given your listed rules? Once again just curious. So I thought I'd ask.
