John leaned back and enjoyed the sight of Nathalia’s breasts swaying. Obviously, he was going to elevate an item to Mythical quality. He had a variety of other ways to get Legendary items, from Raids to the crafting crew. Mythical Ichor he had only seen twice so far and it was best to assume Gaia would continue being stingy with it.
An important difference between the Starforger Overclock and Mythical Ichor was that the latter required the item it was used on had all 6 Celexiums. With that requirement removed, John’s library of choices expanded massively.
Because of that factor, he dismissed the Fusional weapons outright. They could be upgraded with Mythical Ichor, anything else could not. After that, he cut out various other options until he arrived at one that he liked best.
John raised his right hand and deactivated the Appearance Setting. The arm turned silver as Carn, the Unblemished Maker’s Hand, was made visible in its entirety. The Augmentation from Ohmior was not one of the Gamer’s flashy equipment pieces, but it did have one particular enchantment that was making his life a whole lot easier. Creation Master 3, the Attribute that reduced the cost he was paying for his Artificial Spirits by three whole steps.
If he could upgrade that, that would be quite the save on his mana. Especially if fate decided he was going to come across yet another woman that required him to use his last Sylkarion. That aside there was another reason to upgrade Carn specifically: he was stuck with it. As an Augmentation, he could not unequip it even if he tried. Not a huge drawback, he had two empty Hand Slots anyway, but one to consider.
“Anyone against this being the target?” he asked the wider harem. When he received no pushback, he pulled the trigger. “From the forge of my mind, celestial might, for the creation before me.”
The Babel Phrase crossed John’s lips instinctively. It was perhaps the most casual use of one anyone had ever witnessed. The Arcane Stars were simply deleted from John’s inventory. Nathalia only stopped for a moment in her constant bouncing to inspect the starlight glow that drowned out the sun for a brief moment.
When it ebbed away, the silver that covered the entirety of John’s arm had turned into a weave of celestial patterns. Constellations and stars, silver and dark blue, ran from his knuckles up to his shoulder, contrasting pleasingly with his mild tan. Interestingly, the Lover’s Will marks on the back of his hand were layered on top. It made for a pleasing harmony of things.
‘Now what is under the hood?’ John thought.
A fancy new name and a number of increases. Augmentation had become Gamer Augmentation, which meant that its Durability was now tied to Gamer’s Body. Damage Mitigation had gone up a whole lot, which was unlikely to matter but nice regardless. Similarly, Reprogram now had a range of 100 metres which could be cool but was not a thing that John saw ever winning him any fights. It just allowed him another way of conflict resolution when he already had the overwhelming force in his favour.
Creation Master going up from 3 to 4 was what he had been after. Everything else that he was yet to read was just a bonus goodie.
Effectively useless. The previous Attribute had made them level passively while they received his mana and another Perk let them level when he fucked them, so his Artificial Spirits had never lagged behind anyway. Still, nice to have in one way or another.
That one was very interesting, albeit niche. Most arcane motors were already built with mana engines in mind. The advantage of this Attribute was twofold: one, he could power an item if that system was broken, non-existent or otherwise out of reach, and, two, he did not need to use his own mana to do so.
That had a number of malicious applications that John was happy to have access to, if only as a threat.
Now THAT was a real money maker. Simple and incredibly effective, especially for him. He could use this to adjust the angles of his Arcana Rays, introducing yet further obfuscation to the way they bounced and angled when they fused. It could also be used as a defensive tool, so it was all around just really, really good.
‘I need to stockpile meteorites, apparently… there has to be a black market for those,’ John thought and put his hand back on Lorelei’s butt, where it belonged. Just as he did that, another window popped up.
That one was interesting. 3 Max Class Levels was a hefty reward, but the cost in Stat Points invested in something that had effectively no advantage besides making his maids cum even harder was also substantial. Gaia was entirely right when she said he wanted to increase their Libido though. He accepted the Quest and decided to get to work on that during their next Raid session.
“Alrighty, imma go get Moi-Moi now,” Rave suddenly announced.
“She is participating?” John asked.
“Yup,” Rave answered and intuited the Gamer’s next question. That was good, since Nathalia decided she deserved kisses. “So am I, by the way. Yes, I’ll throw in the towel before the finale to let the other people have their shot at stuff.”

It really was not a long trip. She moved towards the teleportation pad that was across the garden, activated it, then came straight back. As could be expected of such a strait-laced woman, she had been waiting on time on the other side.

The redhead just shook her head. A notably muted reaction compared to the aggressive demands that she had presented just a week ago. That being said, she still pinched the bridge of her nose when she spotted John underneath three women and the very telling way Nathalia’s hips bounced. “Do you know no shame?!”
“Do you ever get tired of asking that fucking question?” Salamander shouted back and clacked twice with the tongs in her hand. “Sausage?”
“I do not… is this innuendo or are you genuinely offering me food?”
“I’m offering you meat, yes,” the fire spirit answered with a cackle. “Come on, blushadin, we’re just fucking around.”
“Blushadin! HAH!” Eliana laughed from the floor, before resuming to wrestle with Lee. They were in the make-out phase of their entanglement.
“…Fine, I will accept the offer,” Moira said and strutted on over. By the time she arrived by the grill, Salamander had already loaded a plate with bite-sized sausages. A fork was provided and the Warden began to eat. She did so quite voraciously.
‘I suppose her body does need the protein,’ John thought. The brief look he had gotten of her spasming had revealed that she was quite toned. “So, you are compete-“
“I will not talk to you while you are balls-deep inside one of your women, Gamer!” Moira interrupted him. “I shall deal with your nudity!”

The force behind those words was enough to make John smile happily. The smile grew even wider when Nathalia hugged him deeply, his shoulder all but entirely disappearing in her deep cleavage.
The Warden had stopped chewing and resumed so only when she realized she needed her mouth empty to talk. “It is indecent to make love under the open sky.”
“Why?” Nathalia asked, audibly annoyed. “Thousands of years and over and over again that assertion is made by those that know the least about sexual delight.”
“It is a sign of low moral fibre, a step down a slippery slope that ends with a civilization in decadence.”
“I can accept that assertion on a broad level,” John took over to prevent the argument from becoming too heated. “Historically, a society that treats sex too casually collapses soon after. It is indeed a sign of decadence. That being said, we’re not talking about a whole society here, you’re talking about me.” The Gamer squeezed the slender thigh of the blank that had nuzzled up to his other side. “For what it’s worth, I didn’t know you were coming until 2 minutes ago. Jane just sprung that on me.”
“If you’re that annoyed, I can show ya your room,” Rave offered.
Moira sighed and looked at her meal. “I’ll finish eating first,” she decided. “There is little point in treating you like a cause that is anything short of lost.” The addition was made with humour in her voice.
It was quite evident to John that Moira made these complaints not because she expected he would cave but because she genuinely thought it would be better for him. When he did not give in, she knew to drop it for the time being and engage in the banter. The Warden was a moralist, but not one of the annoyingly sanctimonious types.
“Did ya bring your bike, Moi?” Hailey drawled, to the nodding of the redhead’s head. “I got a workshop in the back, we can do some tinkerin’ lat’r.”
While that conversation began, Lorelei hugged John from behind. “If I may, Master… John,” Lorelei corrected herself after her best friend sent her a resigned glance. “Lee’s policy was thrice wise. It is not just the clash of the Warden and Jane that we ought to be wary of.”
“You have foreseen something?” John asked.
“I have indeed.”
“Why did you not inform me earlier?”
“The Lady’s guidance is… difficult at times. I interpreted her signals to mean that she wishes for me not to tell you until it is too late for you to gather intel on the potentials.”
“How interesting.” John tilted his head so Nathalia’s breasts were his cushion. “What could be so amusing that the sass goddess does not want me to know in advance?”
He would have to find out tomorrow.
