With Ken Nagatos ability to borrow powers from his partners. Hypothetically could he complete all 7 trials after his partners and then take their trial power? Or is it just a hard limit set to only 1 power?

The question I really need answered is this. In Returners Defiance 5 why were “instances” called dungeons? I know it’s been a while since I read the 1st 3 books but I do not remember them being called anything other than instances.
