I did say I'd get something up.
Having spent the week bouncing between animation and doing all the stuff needed to get ready for the con I got the animation ready, got a few camera angles set up, got the simulation all cooked and the fur working as needed, I go to do a test render to fine tune the look, the program crashed.
no matter what I tried whenever I went to render it crashed.
when I loaded backups going back to Saturday and attempted to render, the program crashed.
I was about ready to cry.
Eventually after many hours I was able to rebuild the scene from a much earlier save from Friday and salvage as much data from the buggy file as possible, then spent even more time recooking the sim as some things had changed, and finally got to hit render.
That was all of Wednesday.
I've not been having a good time of it.
I'm sorry that there is no alt shots, and if there are any inconsistencies with the shot/lighting/etc... but it just got to a point that if I didn't start the render at that point nothing would get posted.(the render finished about 30 mins ago)
I'll be working more on this when I get back to provide a definitive finished version, Seeing that I've worked for this week and the past two weekends this is the progress report for this week and I'll be back on the 10th giving a bit of time to recover from the con.
I do hope you enjoy the work I've put into this, I'll see you next time with an extended version with more stuff, internal shots, different camera angles, etc... (and I suppose we also need to start looking at what characters go into the next animation and what they are going to get up to)
note on files, as patreon limits file size I'm offering the animation so far in one of 4 ways:
HQ_H265 a more efficient encode (might have problems playing back on older devices)
LQ_H264 a lower quality encode in H264
HQ_H264 as a split zip file (download both parts then double click the .zip)
HQ_H264 as a direct link via DM (contact me directly if non of the above work for you, If I don't get back to you strait away I will do after I'm back from the con.)
For the split zip file, if both parts (.zip, .z01) are downloaded to the same location, double click the .zip file and Windows 10/11 (or an archive manager of your choice) should happily open it up and will automatically find the .z01 file
If you can't play the HQ_H265 version and also can't open the zip file and want the HQ_H264 version please message me directly and I'll sort out alternative download means via DM (again if I don't get back to you now I will after the con)
