Gulp Skill Rework!
🕑 Added 2024-08-11 17:00:05 +0000 UTCFor those of you that watched the Dev Commentary, you may already be familiar, but I've reworked the Gulp skill for (hopefully) the final time!!
Now it works where you can swallow the enemy (Without it missing nearly as often!) after they're at half health, then you slowly digest them! Of course, you could always speed up the process with a new Digest move that damages enemies while they're in your belly!
After you've swallowed the enemy, they are replaced with a "Belly Cam" view of the gal that ate the monster's gut! (The art for that is temporary, there's a good chance it'll change by the final release haha)
While in your belly, enemies can fight their way back out, too! Plus they can still damage you by struggling inside your stomach!
And of course, for those enemies that can't be damaged in any other way than your stomach acids, you can swallow them at full health! (And of course, you can't swallow boss monsters and other big things like that)
I'm hoping this'll be the last time the gulp skill is reworked because it's finally at a point where it's fun to use! It's no longer an insta-kill move that never hits, now it's got actual mechanics and it's balanced in a way where there is some real incentive to use it in normal combat!

You are very much welcome π everyone deserves praise now and then but in your case a lot because even when your not working on the game your doing posts and replying to messages/comments on here and the forum and deviantart so don't think yours and Bea's effort and commitment isn't not noticed just make sure you're both getting proper down time and breaks and rest as that is most important π keep up the amazing work!!

I have to say I'm very very impressed (tbh i am with all the stuff you've done in this game) i mean i already liked how you did it initially but this just takes it to a whole new level you should proud of yourself π I'll say it again i love these little updates and also the great and continued work by you and SeaBea so thank you so much and I'd like to think all patreons and non-patreons would agree so keep up the awesome work!! π
