Chapter 1 Sign it, Bronya

This is a palm with distinct joints and neatly trimmed nails. The flat fingertips tap on the solid wood table again and again, making a series of crisp sounds.
In this relatively private cubicle of the coffee shop, a young man named Minamiya Yu was looking at the person opposite him with a smile on his face, looking quite pleased.
Under the short black hair is a fairly handsome face. Although he is not earth-shatteringly handsome, he can at least be called a handsome young man in the area. Under the loose black and white casual clothes is a well-trained body. He has an enviable figure that makes him look thin when dressed and muscular when undressed.
The faint sunlight refracted through the glass and spread across the room. The air was filled with the bitterness of coffee and the aroma of milk. The blended flavors slightly stimulated the sense of smell of the people present. In the quiet room, the knocking sounds weighed on the heart of a young girl opposite, making her already tense lips look even more bitter.
The girl had long silver curly hair, which reached her waist and was tied behind her head with a hairband. Her pretty face was as delicate as a painting, but there was a lingering haze on her frowned brows, the source of which came from a small stack of A4 papers placed on the table in front of her.
She was wearing a dress with a thin grey shirt as the base, which outlined her already well-developed figure. Not to mention her breasts with obvious curves, the soft black skirt fell due to gravity, and the arc light reflected her round and plump legs. Just by imagining it, one could understand how seductive the shape of her hips and legs must be.
As for the black stockings wrapped around the slender calves under the skirt, they were even more stunning, extending all the way to the soles of the feet and being gathered and tightened by a pair of brown leather shoes. Minamiya Yu didn't even dare to imagine how delicious it would be after taking off the shoes. His eyes drifted away silently several times, and he sighed in his heart at the girl's growth over the years.
There was another girl sitting next to her.
She was different from the silver-haired girl. Her cute little face, which was specially dressed up, did not show much bitterness under her black and blue shoulder-length hair. However, her sea-like pupils kept moving, looking at the girl and the boy, with a slightly conflicted look on her face.
She seemed to want to say something, but due to the atmosphere, she didn't dare to open her mouth. She could only pinch the blue and white skirt on her body with her two little hands, rubbing it back and forth, making two small wrinkles. She looked timid, and people wanted to hold her in their arms and pity her.
"Have you finished reading? Then sign here."
despair.
The mocha in his hand was only half full. Minamiya Yu put down the cup, looked across, and spoke slowly and casually.
"I, I..."
The girl tightly grasped the pen in her hand and bit her lips. Anyone could see the strong unwillingness in her eyes.
"Why, you can't write? Do you need me to teach you how to write your name? Bronya Zaychik."
When talking about the name of the girl opposite, Minamiya Yu deliberately slowed down his voice, speaking in a playful tone with a hint of sarcasm.
He was not in a hurry. As the winner for the time being, he had enough patience to appreciate the cute and unwilling look of the girl opposite, especially the angry look of the girl after being provoked by him, which was quite interesting.
"I don't need you to teach me!"
Bronya almost uttered these words through gritted teeth, glanced at the girl beside her with an apologetic look, and then placed the pen tip on the A4 paper with trembling hands.
He heard the rustling sound of the pen tip touching the paper. Seeing Bronya lower her head, Minamiya Yu turned his gaze to her side. As if they had telepathic connection, the black-haired girl also turned her gaze.
They looked at each other smoothly, gazing at the ocean in the pupils, a smile appeared on Minamiya Yu's lips, and his eyes became quite gentle. He opened his mouth and said a few words silently. The girl opposite was stunned for a moment, but soon her face brightened up and she showed him a sweet and lovely smile.
This smile of unreserved trust, which had remained the same since childhood, made Minamiya Yu's vision a little dazed for a moment, as if she had returned to a very young age.
The three of them actually came from the same orphanage and grew up together. Their relationship is no less than that of real brothers and sisters.
Especially Minamiya Yu and Bronya, both of them are heavy game enthusiasts. When they were young, they often played video games secretly at night without telling the aunt in the orphanage.
At this time, another girl, Seele Vollerei, would help them keep watch. Seele had always been their little follower, and the three of them had the best relationship in the entire orphanage.
“Let’s make games together when we grow up. Let’s make the most fun games in the world!”
One day, little Bronya called the two of them out and said excitedly.
"OK."
The little boy agreed without hesitation. This was also what he thought.
As for Seele-chan, seeing that her favorite brothers and sisters had expressed their opinions, she naturally didn't want to be left behind and hurriedly raised her hand.
"Any ideas for game genres?"
"Robot, Bronya wants to be a big robot!!"
The young girl shouted.
At that time, the three people might have thought that they would be together forever, but unfortunately, the reality is always contrary to one's wishes.
The director of the orphanage, Cocolia, was promoted to a senior position in Anti-Entropy, one of the world's three largest technology companies, in less than ten years because of her outstanding abilities. As a result, the conditions in the orphanage also improved.
She has always treated the children in the orphanage as her own sons and daughters and naturally would not treat them badly. However, as a strong woman, she understands that she cannot tie the children down by her side and must let them learn to be independent.
Therefore, whenever a child graduates from junior high school, he or she will be sent out of the orphanage. Cocolia will provide initial support, but the child will have to rely on himself for life afterwards.
When the children graduate from high school or college, the orphanage can help them find a job to make a living, and those with excellent grades can return to her and become a member of Anti-Entropy.
Minamiya Yu and the other two were sent out after graduating from junior high school. Since their target university had already been decided to be St. Freya University, which had the best game production major in the world, they came directly to the Far East since high school.
Although Cocolia treated every child in the orphanage as her own, she always had some preferences. As her three favorite children in the orphanage, she gave them generous support.
Not only was each person given a house, but they were also given enough money to live on for several years.
Even the day before the three of them left, Cocolia pulled them into the bedroom and talked to them for the whole night. In the end, she said that if they felt uncomfortable outside, they could come back at any time, and there would always be a place for the three of them by her side.
The three of them originally planned to make the game in order to subsidize the lives of everyone in the orphanage. As a result, as Director Cocolia's position became higher and higher, she was promoted directly to the top of Anti-Entropy.
So, money became a simple string of numbers in her eyes.
Other families hope their sons will become successful and their daughters will become outstanding, but they just want their mother to become outstanding.
However, this also allows Minamiya Yu and Bronya to pursue their dreams without being disturbed by other things.
Leaving the orphanage is undoubtedly the best opportunity for Minamiya Yu and Bronya to start their dreams.
However, an irreconcilable dispute arose between the two during their first meeting.
Bronya wanted to make the mecha game she had dreamed of for a long time right from the start, but Minamiya Yu felt that they should start with a small-scale game and obtain some initial funds first. The help provided by Dean Cocolia was only enough for them to live, and it was definitely not enough to make a mecha game.
The scale of mecha games is too large for them now.
As a result, the two had a quarrel and neither could convince the other. In order not to affect their future relationship, they finally signed a two-year contract.
Depending on the developments two years later, the weaker party must agree with the other party's ideas and take the other party as the priority.
Naturally, the cooperation could not continue for the time being. The three people were originally planning to live in the same house, but that fell through because of this incident.
Moreover, an important issue arose after the separation, which was Seele's "rights of ownership".
As the favorite sister of both of them, who Seele would live with became the second topic of their dispute.
In the end, Bronya took advantage of the convenience of being a girl and forcibly "took Seele for herself", which made Minamiya Yu very angry.
Now, a year has passed, and everything has changed.
I forgot to mention that since Minamiya Yu fell ill at the age of eight, he often had strange dreams. It was not until the night he left the orphanage that those hazy dreams came together like fragments, piecing together a complete life that he had never expected.
He was also an orphan and was lucky enough to have friends and teachers who cared about him. After growing up happily, he just stepped out of the school and added a performance to his job of traveling to another world by saving two children.
Maybe it was because his brain did not fully develop when he was a child, or for other reasons, it was not until that night that he recalled the memories of his previous life.
Good news.
He was not completely killed by the dump truck and was reborn.
Bad news.
The first moment he realized he was reborn, he thought of his childhood playmates. Oh no, it’s Honkai!
Good news.
Looking back and calming down, I found that there is indeed no Honkai energy here. This is truly a daily routine, yay!
Even better news.
After those dream fragments merged, they were like being imprinted in his mind, becoming a "book" that he could read at any time. Everything he had experienced could be easily recalled by just thinking back.
Looking at the memory of those masterpieces that he had played in his previous life, Minamiya Yu couldn't help but take a breath.
The gaming industry in this world is equally prosperous, but it is still slightly inferior to that of the previous life. The rapid development of science and technology has made people more pursuing technological improvements, more realistic graphics, and better modeling, and the gameplay is not as fancy as in the previous life.
If he could make all the games in his memory, and combine them with the technology of this world, he couldn't help but shudder as he imagined the scene.
If it really happens, he can give a punch to Walter, the author of the world's number one IP, Homu, and then step on him and shout that I am the king of games.
Ahem, keep a low profile, keep a low profile. The game hasn’t even been released yet, so don’t aim too high.
However, the more uncomfortable thing is.
With only this memory, it would be fine for him to make smaller games. But if he planned to make 3A masterpieces, not to mention the technical aspects, the manpower and material resources required would be beyond his ability to afford now.
Therefore, the current primary goal is to make a simple game that can obtain sufficient funds in a short period of time.
What games cost less and can sell a lot of copies without any fame or publicity?
Sitting in the room thinking hard, gradually, a flash of inspiration came to him and a bold idea emerged in his mind.
Between moral integrity and funds for future game development, he chose the latter without much hesitation.
Eight months later, a first-person shooter game called "Beautiful Girl Kaleidoscope: The Cursed Legendary Girl" was quietly released.
The artist is himself, who has been drawing since he was a child and in college. Apart from hiring a few voice actors, the production cost is almost zero!
Naturally, GALGAME also exists in this world, but the evolution of the painting style is random. The ACG style of this world is more realistic.
Therefore, once a novel painting style like Kaleidoscope appeared, it quickly became popular in the world with just a few simple CG screenshots.
GALGAME is originally a small circle, but thanks to this, information spreads very quickly in the small circle. One person tells ten people, ten people tell a hundred people, and soon, Kaleidoscope's sales exploded as he expected.
The otakus in this world have never seen such exciting scenes before. Just a few preview CGs are enough to make them hand over their wallets.
So, three months later, "Pretty Girl and Kaleidoscope: Forget-Me-Not and the Eternal Girl" was quickly put on the shelves with the popularity of the first work.
The reason why the second part was completed so quickly was not only because he hired a helper with the money he earned, but also because he was familiar with this style of painting.
You know, when making the first part, it took him two full months just to learn the painting style from memory.
As for Bronya?
Relying on the anti-entropy artificial intelligence provided by Cocolia, after she worked hard on the mecha game for more than ten months, it was successfully launched.
Not to mention that the game is hard to understand and has some self-entertaining plots. The game levels are also designed according to Bronya's own preferences, so the abnormal difficulty level is not something that ordinary people can play.
Coupled with the overused horizontal level-breaking gameplay, if she doesn’t fail, who will?
For this game, Bronya almost exhausted all her funds, and the result was, of course, she lost everything.
Seele wanted to take out her share of the money, but Bronya refused without hesitation.
Failure is shameful enough, and if I still take Seele's money, I will be too ashamed to see Minamiya Yu.
However, without money, she would not be able to make games. If she couldn't make new games, then there was no need to wait a year later. She could just admit defeat to Minamiya Yu now.
Just when Bronya was at her wit's end and was about to risk her dignity to ask Cocolia for a loan, Minamiya Yu took this opportunity and asked the two of them out with a contract.
The content of the contract is simple.
The time of the finals has been moved forward to the St. Freya Mini-Game Festival a few months later. Minamiya Yu will be responsible for the research and development funds for Bronya's game optimization, and correspondingly, Seele's "ownership" will belong to him.
As for Seele's own wish, she can actually live with anyone. It would be even better if three people could live together. Unfortunately, it will take a long time for her wish to come true.
Seeing her brother and sister fighting over her, although it was a bit bad to say so, she was actually still a little happy. Knowing that her favorite brother and sister also liked her the most, it was inevitable that she would be excited.
In order to get Seele to live with him, Minamiya Yu spent a lot of money.
Judging from the level of expense of Bronya's research, it seems that all the money earned from Kaleidoscope 12 will be lost.
He knew that there was no way Bronya would refuse this contract.
If they don't sign, then Minamiya Yu will dominate the world a year later and the three of them will still live together.
If she signed, she would still have a chance to turn the situation around. For the sake of her ideal, she could only bear the pain and let Seele go. Anyway, the house given by Cocolia was relatively close, so if she wanted to see Seele, she could just walk a few steps.
Watching Bronya write her name on the contract stroke by stroke, Minamiya Yu's mouth curled up slowly, and he patted the sofa beside him towards Seele.
"Seele, it's time to come over here~"
Hearing her brother's voice, Seele secretly glanced at her sister Bronya with a dim look, then nodded obediently, stood up obediently, took small steps and sat next to her brother.
Seeing this, in Bronya's suffocating gaze, Minamiya Yu unceremoniously put his arm around Seele's shoulders, feeling the girl's warm body temperature, looking at the opposite side with a victorious smile.
"It's still early, do you want to go shopping together?"
Feeling the warm hands on her shoulders and the soft voice close to her ears, Seele's little face suddenly turned red and she nodded impatiently.
She didn't even feel sad for a moment about her sister Bronya's failure. The upcoming date with her brother had already occupied the top position in Seele's little head.
"Then let's go. I'm not like some people who are busy with work after school every day and during holidays. They leave such a lovely Seele aside and don't even have time to spend with her."
At the end, Minamiya Yu did not forget to mock Bronya.
Bronya lowered her head even more, because Minamiya Yu was right. She had indeed neglected Seele somewhat during the past year because of the game making.
Every weekend, Minamiya Yu would take Seele out for a walk, to see the surrounding scenery, eat some delicious food, go to the cinema, amusement park, aquarium, and leave traces of their companionship everywhere. During the holidays, they would go to temple fairs together, watch fireworks, and experience local customs together.
And what about her?
In order to relieve the anger she felt when signing the contract and to make Minamiya Yu agree with her ideal, she spent almost all of her free time playing games. The house was deserted every day and Seele didn't even have anyone to talk to.
"Brother, don't say that. Sister Bronya still cares about Seele."
Noticing that sister Bronya's head was lowering lower and lower, Seele quickly grabbed Minamiya Yu's arm, pulled it gently, and said coquettish words.
"Real?"
"Really~"
As if afraid that her brother wouldn't believe her, Seele stuck to him and made some disgusting sounds.
Compared to the shy little girl in the memory of the previous life, Seele here has been following him around since she was a child. She is always the 'vanguard' of her brother in doing all kinds of bad things. Although she is still shy, her overall personality is much more cheerful.
"Okay, okay, I naturally believe what Seele says."
That somewhat helpless voice made Seele smile happily, with bright eyes, white teeth, and picturesque eyebrows.
"Let's go. You should know the password of the card I just gave you."
After that, Minamiya Yu pulled Seele to stand up, and the two of them, hand in hand, slowly disappeared from Bronya's sight.
call......
Bronya closed her eyes and exhaled gently. Then, her gloomy and lost eyes gradually became firm.
Just wait, she will definitely make Minamiya Yu agree with her ideas, and then everyone will go back to being like they were when they were kids and work together for a common dream!
Just when she was about to leave with great ambition, the waiter with a business smile suddenly appeared and stopped her.
"?"
Seeing her puzzled expression, the waiter kindly reminded her: "Miss, you haven't paid for your coffee yet. Do you want to pay by cash or card?"
"......"
Hard, the fist is hard.
She took a deep breath, took out her wallet, looked at the few dollars' balance in it, was silent for a moment, and with a slightly red face, took out the card that Minamiya Yu had just handed to her.
"Swipe, swipe the card."
The voice was a little stumbling, enough to show Bronya's inner uneasiness at the moment.
Ding Dong.
Seeing the payment information suddenly pop up on the phone, Minamiya Yu was stunned for a moment, and then couldn't help laughing out loud.
"Brother, what's the matter?"
Seele took a small bite of the newly bought Taiyaki, and the sweet taste made her squint her eyes happily. When she heard her brother's sudden laughter, she looked over with some curiosity.
"Nothing, I just thought that Bronya was really cruel to me."
Shaking his head, Minamiya Yu moved closer to Seele and opened her mouth. Seele also handed over the Taiyaki in tacit understanding.
Oops.
"......"
Looking at the entire 'fish head and body' that almost disappeared in that instant, and her brother's figure who was speeding up and walking forward on his own, Seele stopped, a trace of confusion flashed in her big eyes.
Then, she reacted and immediately chased forward, shouting in dissatisfaction: "Brother!"
Minamiya Yu also immediately sped up, and the two of them chased each other, leaving a series of laughter along the way.
