Gandalf the White Light up staff
🕑 Added 2025-09-17 13:28:47 +0000 UTCAaaand this one is done :) Just like with my Saruman staff, I’ve made two versions: a non-functional one and a functional LED light-up version.
This time, I learned from the mistakes I made with Saruman’s staff and redesigned the pressure-fit strips. I added an extra edge/slot system to prevent any wobbling, so the staff should now be rock solid with no need for metal rods.
But for those who still prefer using rods, I’ve included cutouts for both 8 mm and 5 mm rods as well (the same ones I’ve been using in all my sword projects for years).
For the LED version, I added a small removable detail at the tip of the staff so you can access the LED and replace the batteries when needed. Instead of magnets, I went with double-sided transparent Scotch tape — sturdier, reusable, and reliable. After a few months of use, you might just need to scrape away some old tape, but it holds up great!
The led's are the same as in saruman's staff, evil-lyns staff, and the holoprojector, so everything you guys allready have, reusable :)
I’ll be printing this out soon and will share photos to show everything I had in mind while designing it :)
