State of the Skeleton 5/30-6/3: Stop Skeletons From Bloggin’
🕑 Added 2022-06-04 01:55:26 +0000 UTCHeya guys! Grace here. Since our schedule has been so sporadic this year, I thought that a weekly update blog would be a good way to show off what we’re working on. I am shamelessly ripping this idea off The Gaming Historian, who has been thrilling me with his weekly updates all year. Without further ado...
Monday 5/30
We’ve been finalizing the The Doom RPG (+ Friends!) video, which, fittingly, has turned into a bit of a monster. We got the first rough edit from Brandon today (his last SSFF video edit was for the 64DD), which ended up being around 30 minutes long. That’s about 150% bigger than I anticipated originally, whoops. Derek and I spent a majority of the day watching the cut together and making notes for Brandon. I might end up trimming it down by a few minutes, but things are still up in the air.
Tuesday 5/31
While we’re waiting on another draft of the Doom RPG video, Derek continued outlining the script about delisted Konami brawlers. He’s been talking about this one for a while, but is feeling extra inspired by the upcoming TMNT: Shredder's Revenge and TMNT: Cowabunga Collection. The project itself doesn’t have a working title yet... how about “Konamabunga”? I’ll pitch it to Derek asap. In the meantime, I wrote emails, edited a sponsored spot for an upcoming video, and did a photoshoot for the Doom RPG thumbnail.

Big meeting day today! My goal is to get the Konamabunga video to an editor before we go on a trip to visit family next week, so after the meeting, lot of my day was spent wrapping up loose ends on the Doom RPG video (like finalizing the thumbnail, prepping posts) before we start scripting on the next video in earnest. Still waiting on a final edit, but I’m confident it’ll be good to go next week.
Friday 6/3
Got the final edit back on Doom RPG! It’s nearly ready but we forgot to get him a few little pieces of footage and Derek misspoke saying “ipod” instead of “ipad”, and when talking about Orcs & Elves 2 forgot to say the “2”. Might have to re-record a few small lines. It’s always the little things! Derek is finishing up the edit with Brandon and I’m finishing this post, um …here that you’re reading right now. And then I’ll do some early scripting for the Konamabunga video (note: Derek has informed me that he never signed off on that title). And that’s the week! We’re hoping to have these every week, so let us know what you think of them.

Well since I joined Patreon you uploaded just the brazilian console video (and it was really good). Hope you are doing well! However, your content it is always top notch quality so I don't mind. Please make us laugh as you always do
This is a great way to engage patreon supporters with the process. Loving it!

The plan is 1-2 videos a month depending on how large each video is! In the near future though, we are shooting to have Doom RPG go up on YouTube on June 9th and the Konami Brawlers video to be up around July 1st or the week afterwards. I agree that the drop off has been dramatic but we are back in full swing now. -G
I believe they said that was the goal, to pull back to do bigger videos.
I love the little daily entries!
How often are you guys looking to have videos uploaded? It seems like they have dramatically dropped back since the Patreon push.
