EXCLUSIVE - That Good Garbo! | Deep Fear | UDUG Ep 12
🕑 Added 2024-08-03 02:33:17 +0000 UTCWe did it Skele-friends!
A whole year of UDUG! This is episode 12 and it's the first installment of That Good Garbo. If you really love video games, you gotta play the bad one's, at least I do! I need that garbo sometimes and Deep Fear is what won the vote! I played the whole thing and MAN, it's a weird, almost-genuinely-good game that is a ton of fun.
Stunningly bad voice work, a surprisingly cute dog, great monster design, and endless, endless, ENDLESS hallways with some of the most egregious backtracking / padding I've ever experienced! Deep Fear tried to be the Sega Saturn's Resident Evil and it only makes me appreciate how right Capcom got it with that first RE! They really tried with this one, and I've seen people claim it's good, and I would not agree. But it's still a lot of fun, that is, if you can appreciate Good Garbo!
It's a full ten hour play-thru but there are chapters so you can watch in chunks if you'd like. This also took forever to upload and process! I've never had to deal with a video this big before!
Voting for August is coming up in the next post, see you then!
Thanks

Sorry for coming to this late! At the start you mentioned the iPhone zooming effect, I think this is called "Center Stage" and hopefully this explains how to turn it off: https://support.apple.com/en-us/111102

I'm not through the whole video yet, but I think one of the sounds used for the enemies sounds like a character from banjo kazooie. It might just be a common stock sound from the era. Sounds like a sealion to me.

I thought Zeebo was a good term for that. lol

Dammit! I typed UDUG wrong on the poll post just now too!! Can I blame auto correct? Edit: OK I fixed it haha, it was going to bother me.

this is gonna bother me till the end of time if I don't mention it and you don't have to change it but the title of the video and the post are different(post is DUG 12)

Hell yeah, we need a new name for "things that are bad but I still love".
