October GameClub Voting (Don't Get Spooked!!)
🕑 Added 2020-10-06 21:51:11 +0000 UTCWe've talked it over and battled it out in the discord, we've got to 4 spooky, horror bangers for this month's GameClub!
Zelda Majora's Mask: What's spookier than the damn apocalypse? One of Zelda's weirdest games, it's also a pretty dark and emotionally heavy game. And one a lot of us have played in a long time (or ever)! It's got ports on the GameCube, Virtual Console, and 3DS, so it's a widely available game too.
The Nameless Game: This is a Japanese only DS horror games that we've covered on the channel before. It's a really interesting premise, it's about a cursed game that killing your friends, it's up to you to investigate the creators of the game as well as play through the titular cursed game. It was Japan-only but there's a great translation patch available. Also Grace REALLY recommends it!
Parasite Eve: If Chrono Trigger and Resident Evil had a baby, its name would be Parasite Eve. This is another game covered on the channel way way way back. A great action RPG with a great plot and even though it's a Square joint, it's a tight, short campaign so don't be intimidated by this one.
Clock Tower: The SNES / Super Famicom original or the PS1 Japan-only remake. One of the first true horror games ever released on a console, Scissor Man's first murderous outing still brings the goods. Again, you'll need to get your mitts on a translated rom but it's been available for ages and shouldn't be any trouble. And don't forget that Wonder Swan port!
Vote like your life depends on it! Voting will close Friday afternoon before the GameClub live stream goes live at 4pm PT. And just to mix it up, we're removed the "only one vote per person" rule, so go nuts!
Podcast recording will be November 2nd, and if you missed the previous GameClub discussion, you can listen to that here. Thanks as always for the support! See you soon!

The fact that Parasite Eve and Clock Tower are in the list together make me so happy enough already
Brian Conley
I very much am looking forward to playing Parasite Eve with you folks! Though, Clock Tower would be fun, too. Actually, these all sound good but I'm rooting for Parasite Eve.
Joel Berube
I voted Majora's Mask (sounds interesting, plus we've already seen Derek go over the other aforementioned games) but I really wish the channel would make a video about all the spooky scary skeletons depicted in games (like Mr. Bones for instance).
Raul Campos
I love the first Parasite Eve, such an underrated classic from Square.
JOSH
It's been a long time since I saw Clock Tower from the SNES. It would be fun if you play that and try to get the best ending.
Zachary Ryan
But parasite Eve gets my vote because it just never gets the attention it deserves. I feel like it's this bonkers experience with all these wild ideas. though I think I'm in the minority the second game is actually the most interesting to me if only for its bizarro combat system
Zachary Ryan
Clock tower is this very interesting if somewhat frustrating experience, and I would love to hear your take on it.
Ryan Blarg
PE and MJmask are fantastic ideas....or maybe some clock tower?
Heck yeah, I've been looking for an excuse to play Parasite Eve! I'm really hoping it wins, it'll be fun to actually participate in a Game Club
Patrick Ripoll
I have no way of playing any of these but Parasite Eve is the one I want to hear you talk about.
