One Shot - Last Night
🕑 Added 2018-11-29 07:00:02 +0000 UTC I woke up to a raging headache. The kind of headache that hurts so much you feel like you cant even move. Throbbing, pounding, ears ringing. I put my hand to my forehead and pushed hard, hoping to massage it out. Nothing helped; my mouth and throat were dry and I coughed heavy. Finally, I opened my eyes. The sun shining through my window blinded me, and my eyes took a minute to adjust to the brightness.
The light settled, and my headache passed in an instant.
“Strange” I thought; I had assumed I’d be holding on to that headache for the day, but it only lingered a minute. My dry mouth however stayed, really needed a drink…
After coming to my sense I rolled over in bed to reach for my phone, and I noticed two things:
One, my phone wasn’t where I usually put it and
Two, my bed was cold...and wet.
I froze and my heart beat heavy. Slowly I removed the covers and looked at my legs. They were completely soaked, as was my mattress underneath. I had wet the bed.
“UGH” I exclaimed and threw my head back against my pillow, coughing at the end of my vocal annoyance from my dry throat. If I’m being honest, this isn't the first time I’ve wet the bed since turning 18. It was an uncommon experience, but I went out drinking nearly every weekend and sometime I got a little more fucked than I would’ve like.
What did I do last night though?
I don’t remember going out, or even plans for going out. So either last night was a total blackout, or something else is going on. Not only that, but the headache I had then abruptly didn't have was not reminiscent of a hangover, something I’m way too familiar with already. To top it off I don’t remember dry mouth being a symptom of a hangover. If I could find my phone I would remember…
After rolling over again in my still soaked state, I noticed an ear bud from my headphones sticking out under my pillow. I reached out, grabbed it, and pulled. My headphones pulled my phone out from my bed, hidden deep under sheets and pillows. With a sigh of relief, I clicked the home button to see.
Nothing.
It was dead.
“UUUUUUUGH” I yelled out louder, and coughed harder. Finally, I threw off my covers and got out of bed. I penguin-walked over to my charger, my pj bottoms sticking to my legs and still dripping. After plugging in my dead phone, I figured I would wash up, and my phone would have a decent amount of charge when I finished. So I stripped my wet clothes, tore apart my soaked bed, and threw everything in my washing machine to clean.
I’m a university student, and my parents wanted me to “be more independent” (fancy way of saying they wanted me out of their house) so they are paying for me to live in this condo near my school. We were a pretty well off family, my parents both being doctors, so I kind of expected it. Yeah that sounds a little snobby, but honestly, you’re just jealous.
Living alone was amazing though; I could do whatever I want when I want, walk around naked, host parties, and yeah sometimes wet my bed without anyone knowing. The wash started rolling and I turned on the water in the shower. There was a glass on my bed stand so I filled it up with cold water and swung back two glasses full. I don't know why I was so thirsty, must not be drinking enough water. My hand felt the water in the shower and it was warm enough so I hopped in.
As one does, I started doing a lot of thinking in the shower. As far as I can remember, I didn’t go out last night. Hell I wasn’t even sure what day it was, I just assumed it was the weekend as I had slept in.
I finished washing up and started to dry off when my doorbell rang.
“Weird, I wasn’t expecting anybody” I thought. Quickly I covered up with a towel and walked over to the door, peeking through the peephole. There wasn't anyone there, but a delivery truck pulled off when I got to the door. I carefully and slowly opened the door and looked around outside. No one, but there was a package on my doorstep.
Immediately I was suspicious. I reached down and picked it up; it was a large, unmarked brown box with nothing by my address and ‘Priority Mail’ slapped across the front. Slowly I backed inside and placed the box on my table, staring at it.
“I don't remember ordering anything…” I said to myself. Could be a gift from the parents, or someone's head, only one way to find out…
I went to grab a pair of scissors to open the package when I heard my phone buzz. Instantly I remembered my first mystery, what happened last night.
When I got to my phone there was a track playing, but it wasn't a music track...It read “Full_Incontinence_pt9” and it was 30 minutes long. What was incontinence again? It sounds familiar... Then, I got a text.
Unknown: Did you get the package?
I stared at that text, starting to get really scared. Someone was playing me, or scamming me, or blackmailing or something. I looked around to see if there was any cameras or anyone there, my heart pounding. They sent another.
Unknown: Open it Mandy.
They knew my name. I was about to pass out, but I realized I hadn't even looked through my phone yet.
When I unlocked it, I couldn't believe my eyes.
There were hours of those files in my phone, all saying I had listened to them, all about incontinence. Another text.
Unknown: Now Mandy.
At this point I was shaking, crying, and cold from the water still on my skin from my shower. I looked across the room to the package.
Slowly I walked over to it. My heart about to beat out of my chest. I slid the scissors across the tape and carefully removed the cardboard flaps.
Inside, despite me fully expecting a head, was a plastic package. I pulled it out and looked at it.
“Diapers?” I said out loud, confused. My phone buzzed again.
Unknown: Happy with your purchase?
This time, I replied.
Mandy: My purchase?
Unknown: Check your emails.
I closed the text conversation and opened my mail. Sure enough, there was an order of adult diapers from me, to me. I went back to the texts.
Mandy: What is this?
Unknown: This is your life now Mandy, until you give us what we ask. You have 1 week to get us $100,000 or you can say goodbye to your bladder control for life. If we get what we ask, we will give you the files to reverse it.
Files...bladder control….Incontinence. Oh my god...
Mandy: What have you done to me??
Unknown: It is what you have done to yourself. I will contact you in one week for the money.
My parents are going to freak, what have I done…
Unknown: Oh, and you might want to put one of those diapers on soon...especially after all that water this morning.
Blood rushed from my head. They were watching me. I looked around to see if I could see any cameras, but nothing. Then, I felt something worse.
Down my legs was a warm stream of pee, rushing out of my bladder and water-falling down to the floor. I didn't feel it. I couldn't stop it. Pee just kept pouring out of me, like it would never end, forming an ever-growing puddle underneath me. I stared at the diapers.
If all this was true...what other choice did I have?
