I mean. For the sake of sustainability I’d say set some kind of hard cap, maybe 25-30, and for every new idea you add you delete an option that did poorly in the last poll? I mean, it seems safe that any idea that only gets 0-2 votes is unlikely to ever bubble to the top, and 3-4 votes can also probably be safely canned unless you personally like them. Long term, this would filter out the ideas that people are least interested in and preserve the ones that have the widest appeal so you can get to them eventually. Given the fact that you’ll probably get more than one good suggestion per month, you’ll eventually have far too many story ideas that lots of your readers want to see, but that seems like a good problem to have. Alternatively, people might stop voting for certain options that they see every month because they loose their shine and competition is stiffer.
